Many years ago I owned a Kodak mobile photo printer that was a 4 Pass, and I loved it, filling my art journals with the prints. Then it died of 'old age' and I've struggled since to get another one that was even half as good since everyone had moved to zink paper. I purchased at least 3 different brands, only to give them away because the photo quality was awful - blue casts, wasting paper trying to adjust lighting and colors, etc. Then I found this printer which I received yesterday and tried out, and I am OVERJOYED that Kodak is back! Great photo quality that matches what's on my phone. And as someone else mentioned, the cartridges are the same as Polaroid Hi-Print's, which is also a 4 Pass and uses sticker paper. Only problem can be with the cartridges themselves for both brands so hopefully they're getting on the manufacturer to beef up their quality control. The Kodak printer is a bit smaller than Polaroid's so it travels everywhere with me now. Ecstatic to have a quality mobile photo printer with me again. This thing is SO awesome! You have to get an app to use it, and the pictures don’t always fit quite right into the frame it provides, but it’s incredibly easy to use! I got it because I was taking a field studies class where we had to do write-ups on different species and ideally draw them. Well, I cannot draw, and tracing was becoming a MAJOR deterrent to me doing these assignments, so I got this to cheat the system lol. I’d further milk it by putting multiple pictures together in a different app, like one on top and 2 on the bottom, and printing it as one picture so I’d have 3 out of 1 thing of film, and cut and tape them however I wanted after. The app has an option for this, but I didn’t like how it didn’t utilize all the space, so I did it manually. The quality isn’t too bad in my opinion and you can really save on film by combining little pictures. One printed pic is about the size of a credit card, so beware if you wanted something bigger. I don’t mind their size :) it served its purpose very well!! Aside from school work, I just think it’s so cool to be able to get a physical print of any picture on my phone in a few seconds!! I read complaints of people saying it took a long time to print? Do they not have 30 seconds of time? Do they not remember the days before phone cameras, and having to take your camera to a physical store and wait an hour (at best) to get your photos, of which some store worker just saw all of? I find that bizarre. It clearly states that the pic goes in and out 4 different times to apply the different color layers. It’s not like a Polaroid where touching it immediately afterwards can ruin the picture, either, it’s good to go right after it’s done printing. One cartridge has 10 photos on it, after which it’ll tell you when it’s empty and to put a new cartridge in. So each box, which has 30 photos, actually has 3 cartridges. The color isn’t always super spot-on but it’s definitely good enough for me!!!! For example, my classmate saw me entry on the American dipper, a chunky lil gray bird with flesh colored legs, and commented on the bit of blue hue lol, I was like, nooo it’s sooty all around, but I get why you’d think that from the picture alone. Different pics will come out in differing quality but I honestly think it’s pretty damn good for like $85 total- the printer and the film that comes with it (30 in each box I think and if I remember correctly, the printer actually came with a cartridge in it, so it was 70 photos total). ... show more

It's so convenient and works really well! I got this on sale for around 100 dollars and it was definitely worth it. Sometime the kodak website has sales too so you can get a lot more of the film cartridges for a good deal too. The only thing I'd say is use a different app to edit your pictures before you're ready to print. You can also save on the sheets by printing two picture together on the same sheet. I use this to journal and send pictures in letters. The pictures turn out really good too! I have noticed slight differences in the color of the pictures depending on where I bought the cartridge tho. Over all, definitely worth the purchase! ... show more

I thought it was gonna be okay pictures but I was amazed! The colors were spot on! I loved seeing the transformation of the pictures as well. I wouldn't really recommend this product, and I wish I had done more research before buying it. Overall it is just okay. The print quality is not the best; the colors are great, but some spots (especially dark spots) look faded. Sometimes you can also see some faded lines over the picture. The picture quality is worse - the photos come out squished to fit the frame, no matter how many times I edit and crop them. For the price, I was expecting something a little better. I'm still going to keep it because I have use for it and I'll be the only one looking at the pictures (I print them and glue them on my journal) but if you're looking for a printer to print pictures to gift to others, there are better options out there. ... show more

surprisingly high quality photos! i did a lot of research and initially thought id buy the hp sprocket but heard a lot of negative things about zink photos fading and i wanted an option that wouldn’t fade so quickly as im using it as a baby journal. but this was so easy to put together and use! well worth the money. ... show more
