First of all, I just want to say I do NOT write reviews very often, so it's a big deal when I do. I was NOT paid to write this: I'm a 32 year old living in NYC in a 600 sq ft 1 bedroom apartment and I am required by my landlord to have 70% of the floors covered with rugs (noise dissipation). I work from home and own a French Bulldog, so my apartment collects dust and his short hairs fairly quickly. I felt compelled to write this review because very few people are comparing the C1 Miele vacuums online to the AIRSIGN vacuum. I bought both this Miele C1 Turbo Team and the AIRSIGN to test them. If you don't know much about the AIRSIGN, it's a hipster millennial vacuum advertised heavily on IG/FB designed by some engineers who "left Dyson to build a better vacuum". It has the same suction power (1200 watts) as the Miele, but costs $150 less and comes with a HEPA filter and 3 bags in the box. I am amazed by this Miele. It is so well engineered that it makes vacuuming a treat instead of a chore. It cleans my dog's hair up with the TURBO TEC floorhead on my low pile rugs very, very, very well. When I bought this vacuum I was concerned the TURBO TEC floorhead wasn't going to do much, as it's not powered by electricity, but rather by the air suction from the motor. BOY WAS I WRONG. The bristles in this floorhead are powerful. It actually kind of shocked me the first time I used it how well they spun with just the power of suction airflow. The hardwood/tile floorhead that is included is an absolute pleasure to use as well. It just glides along the floor so effortlessly. This Miele is the BMW 3 Series of vacuums. In contrast, I HATE the AIRSIGN vacuum SO MUCH. The vacuum feels like a piece of s**t in your hand. It honestly feels like a toy. The 1 floorhead included is an absolute joke. It's extremely cheap, and it literally won't even push across a rug In my 20's I owned $80 vacuums made by Shark that I bought from Target that were junk. The AIRSIGN vacuum feels worse than even those. If you are in your late 20's or older, DO NOT buy the AIRSIGN. I promise you you'll hate it. Get the Miele. It's so much better in literally every single way. I promise the extra $150 is worth it. You will feel like a real adult using it. The AIRSIGN is a toy for college kids. ... show more

    • Excellent less expensive lightweight vacuum
This was purchased due to an older more powerful machine needing repairs and it took a while to get parts. I have since taken it to a new place and it definitely is sufficient for the smaller footprint. This is a great vacuum for a smaller home or apartment with minimal pet hair needing to be cleaned. The suction is good but not as good as higher end Miele vacuums. The unit is light and easy to maneuver. The power nozzle is definitely much less substantive and much less powerful but does a more than adequate job in the space that I am using it. ... show more

Super awesome small living space vacuum super light easy to maneuver around with. It is for use in a small apartment. The bag is small and I would say that this is a great vacuum for something that is around 1200 ft.² or less only because the canister is smaller, which makes it really light and easy to store. ... show more

    • Our Miele Compact C1 is THE BEST CANISTER VACUUM
We acquired another residence and needed a new vacuum. We already owned a Miele Compact Canister so when shopping we decided, "We love the one at home. Why change?" We popped the $$$ for a new machine. YES! WORTH EVERY CENT! Thank you, Miele, for actually improving the best vacuum we've ever know or owned. Our new Miele Compact C1 Turbo, in a classy Obsidian Black, is the Rolls Royce of vacuuming. The Germans really upped their game by adding an electric powered "roller" head to the newly designed, adjustable length, new triangular handle/wand. I HATE BAGLESS VACUUMS. The amount of filth you're exposed to emptying those nasty machines defeats the entire point of vacuuming. Miele's hepa-filter level bags, and easy to swap out air filters, actually clean the air while inhaling everything you never want to see, or touch, again. The whole process is hyper-anti-allergenic. There are SIX vacuum power settings to achieve masterful results in various situations. The very best. BUY IT! You'll be out there thanking me.     • A few design flaws
I purchased it about 3-4 years ago. Overall I am fairly satisfied. Things that I don’t like: The small dusting attachment is poorly made. The bristles have turned up inside the opening blocking the vacuum air flow entering the nozzle. The rug/carpet cleaning attachment collects hairs around the rolling brush and there is no way to open it up for cleaning. This makes it necessary to dig the hairs out which is annoying and tedious. The gadget that is intended to hold the dusting, crevice and upholstery cleaning attachments gets in the way of the hose making it useless. All of these design flaws need to be corrected. This is my 2nd Miele and I bought it again, because this vacuum cleaner is wonderful, but pricy. I have the new one inside the house and use the older one for the porch, where our cats live. Great for pet hair clean up there. I bought the same one, because I can use the same style bag. Inside the house it is very good for wooden floors and the 2nd brush is great for carpets , especially when older it pulls on its own and is not so hard on Arthritis hands. ... show more

    • Love My Miele!
I love this vacuum cleaner. It's a good size and does a good job cleaning. I like the dial on the canister which allows me to control the suction which comes in handy - the max setting is very powerful. It is easy to maneuver and can get under most furniture better than uprights.

I love the size and weight of this vacuum. It has excellent suction and just the tools I need to maintain a clean home. None of the confusing overkill of to many attachments. It’s perfect for our all solid flooring home with a few rugs.
