  • Expensive, but worth it
Color: Tech Blue Style: Turbo
I suffer from horrible allergies: pollen, mold, grasses, dander, dust mites, chemicals.... you name it, I'm allergic to it. I had a Dyson for some years, but felt it was time for a new vacuum and asked around to my more sensitively nosed friends to see what they recommended. Resoundingly, they all suggested Miele. So I started looking at them. There are lots of models of these things and it was confusing to choose. I ended up calling Miele to ask what the heck the difference was in the models and pricing. Here's the long and short of it to save you time: There are 2 types of collecting system: bagless and bag systems. The only bagless is this one. It also has a life time HEPA filter. So no buying extra bags and filters forever. With the bag versions, there are really 2 models. The cheapest one is the same as the most expensive one, except it will not take the electro-brush - a powered brush that the more expensive models have, that cost a couple hundred bucks on it's own. The CX1 did not come with this extra brush, but it can be bought to add on. Beyond this, there are no differences between the power, suction, quality etc of any of the Miele vacuums. The price difference is in the features I have described here only. You're welcome! ;p Performance wise, I am loving this thing. It glides on carpet and hard floor effortlessly, but sucks everything up effortlessly too. It's light and easy to empty. The retractable power cord is a nice touch. It comes with a range of small attachment heads for details and upholstery, as well as the main brush head. The power cord is nice and long and the quality of this product is very nice. It's sturdy and the motor does not sound loud and obnoxious. It's pretty quiet. One annoyance, is that both inhabitants of my home have very long hair. It gets trapped in this vacuum's main brush head and clogs the wheel and quickly blocks the suction. I've had to cut all the hair off maybe every 4th time I use the vacuum. Not the best. I read a dealer review of the vacuum that said if you have pets or long hair, you really NEED the electro-brush. In retrospect, I would probably buy the full package at more expense with this extra brush. I would have saved money, because I will likely buy it anyway soon. ... show more

  • An Amazing Vacuum Cleaner
Color: Tech Blue Style: Turbo
Got my wood floors cleaner than ever before. Easy to use. Quite than my previous canister. Even worked well on my rugs which I didn't expect. Very easy filter removal and empty, Plus it has a secondary filter that can be washed and reused and only need cleaning after about 6 months. The only negative on this model is that there isn;t a suction release slide on the wand, you have to use the knob on the machine ti increase and decrease suction. Full suction is extremely strong. ... show more

  • Perfect vacuum

Exactly what I was looking for! Originally purchased the Dyson ball and returned it. This vacuum is LIGHT and easy to use. Long cord and reach , large waste bin. Automatic cord wound up and automatically cleans itself when it gets too dusty inside.

  • Costs a lot but worth it
Color: Tech Blue Style: Turbo
best vacuum I've ever had including electroluxes. Quality, performance, quiet and built in dust separation are outstanding features. If I had a do-over, I'd buy from a local store b/c my appliance was delivered in an old, worn, and ripped original box which had been opened at least once. I simply no longer trust Amazon for purchases of this magnitude. I kept it and used it right away and I love it - so did not return. ... show more

  • Astonishing Astonishing
Color: Tech Blue Style: Turbo
I am kicking myself that I didn't buy this vacuum sooner! I love the Miele Blizzard canister Vacuum. It was the price. I just kept thinking wow that is a hefty price for something that might break or won't work in a year. So I tried a handful of other vacuums and bought them from target. Target has an easy show up drop off return policy. I tried each one for a few weeks... I tried the Dyson upright ball, Shark Swivel pro-pet and Hoover Wind-tunnel. Don't even waste your time buying these.. Just bite the bullet and buy a Miele. None of those vacuums compared to the Miele Blizzard. The Miele Blizzard hands down is the fit for me. In the past we had a central vac system. We also had the hoover wind-tunnel to cover drapes or place the central vac didn't cover that last 15 years but was probably only truly used for 3 full years. The Blizzard is a canister vac. I grew up with an old canister vac that would bump into your legs causing cruel shin bruises as you did your family chores. My siblings and I would fight for who got stuck vacuuming with those mean machines. So I avoided canister vacs. WOW the Miele is nothing like those monsters of the 80s. The Blizzard Miele is gentle and moves around gracefully. If it does bump you, you will never notice. It glides effortlessly on the floor or carpet. Fantastic design. It sits low to the ground so doesn't collide with furniture or get stuck under chairs. The parts are intuitive. I had no issues putting this together and I struggle with connecting the dots. I have mostly wood floors. Except for two carpeted bedrooms my home is all wood with a few low pile area rugs. I did not want a vacuum that sucks so hard on the area rugs that you can't finish the job. This has an adjustable power strength and a separate head for rugs. These click on an off so easily. Again an intuitive designed. And the retractable cord. Perfect! My cleaning time is faster. Why? because the nozzle can adjust so I can pop off the larger tube to focus on getting into the corners, or shelves or baseboards...Its telescope! Yup, you can open and adjust on a whim. In the past I often skipped doing the corners or drapes because the parts were stowed in a closet and it was a pia to run get them and struggle with connecting them. The Blizzard is designed so you have everything you need right there in front of you. At any length and any suction. LOVE IT!!! But... Before you jump into a Miele I recommend you go to some online videos and learn about which one would work for your needs. Often people think they want SUCTION. That somehow that is going to solve their problems. But trust me the Shark offered suction but I was fighting the vacuum to let go of the area rugs. The Miele was a perfect balance of suction but focused on picking up dust and debris not my rugs or drapes. I wanted medium suction because of my delicate rugs. I wanted something more for wood floors. I also did not want to deal with throw away vacuum bags. I wanted a bagless vacuum. But if you have allergies or pets the Blizzard may not be what you need. We have NO pets and mild allergies. Miele makes other vacuums for thick carpets, dogs, allergy sufferers, throw away bags, stronger suction and filters to keep your home healthy and dust free. However as I say this the Blizzard has the best HEPA filter 99.999% of particles are sucked up and put into this filter making your air cleaner. The suction offers flow rate of 100k per hour. The coarse debris and fine dust can be separated. The coarse debris lands in the transparent dust container, the fine dust in a separate container with a fine dust filter. Honestly it is the best I have seen so far. I won't lie the price scared me at first.. But after a few deep breaths I bought it. And I have no regrets. It is a vacuum that is going to last. Oh I forgot. When I was in Germany staying with friends. They had a Miele. So I got to use it while staying in their guest house. It was when i first learned about this vacuum. The one I bought in the US is far superior to the one I borrowed. I assume theirs was the classic C1 perhaps 10 years old. Visit the Miele website or online videos to find the right one for you. The Miele Complete KONA or Brilliant might be better for you if you have thick carpets and children. ... show more

  • Good vacuum with insulting, embarrasingly low quality accessories
Color: Tech Blue Style: Turbo
The vacuum itself has a clever design and some interesting features, and it performs well in terms of suction power and dust collection. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end... I purchased my unit on 9/8/2024, including the STB 305-3 TurboTeQ Floorhead, SBB 300-3 Parquet Twister Floorhead, Dusting Brush on Handle, Integrated Crevice Tool, and Upholstery Tool, for a total of $696.49. For nearly $700, I expected a high-quality machine that would hold up well over time, but my experience has been EXTREMELY disappointing. Now, just two months later, I find myself dreading each time I have to use it. The included accessories are of abysmally low quality, feel very cheap and sound like they are falling apart after a few weeks of light duty use around the house. It seems unbelievable to me that a company selling vacuum cleaners in this price range, would insult customers with squeaky, rattling and vibrating accessories that are akin to something one would encounter in non-functional / pretend children toys. Truthfully, such shockingly poor quality and downright shameful craftsmanship would not be tolerated even in bargain vacuums priced at $70. To see it here, with a $700 machine is a slap in the face. Miele - if you are reading this review, you should be ashamed of your tactics. All in all, with the TurboTeQ Floorhead constantly producing harsh squeals, irritating vibrations and other high-pitch jarring noises during normal use, vacuuming has become an excruciating experience similar to applying fingernails to a blackboard or scraping dishes with metal utensils. Check out my attached video that shows the cleaning attachment rolling over carpet to witness Miele's top-notch engineering and build quality - make sure to listen with your sound turned on, and keep in mind that the noises and sensations it produces are 10 times worse in person. If you are considering this vacuum cleaner, do yourself a favor and choose a company that actually respects its customers. Do not fall for the hype and marketing like I did. ... show more

10/10 impressed and in love with this thing. I have been vacuuming all day. It is so good. I don’t ever do reviews but I am for this. I have for 2 years researched to find a good vacuum that would actually suck and work on both hard wood floors and carpets. I hate hate stick vacuums and Dyson. Sorry they are over priced and over rated. ... show more
