As a gal who has had PCOS for most of my life, and has dealt with insulin resistance for even longer, I cannot believe it took me this long to find berberine. I started taking berberine daily in November, when I had a very stubborn 10 lbs to lose. I had tried everything before that point and still the scale wasn’t budging. After just 3 weeks, I was already the lightest I had been in 4 years & the results have only continued from there. A lot of berberine capsules are insanely large, which makes them a bit of a chore to swallow. I love the small capsule sizes of these! There is no taste to the capsules and I like that you can customize your dosage a bit more with the formulation of this berberine. I have not experienced any sort of side effects from taking this supplement, but I could see it causing some mild stomach upset if taken on a completely empty stomach. Price is fair, results have been great, no complaints!

I was taking Berberine powder in a capsule, and my A1c went from 6.3 to 6.1. I was happy about that, but changed to the softgels and easily lost 15 pounds, blood sugars are consistently normal, A1c 5.6. Could not be more pleased. At least for me, this formulation is more easily absorbed and therefore more effective.

So far, so good. Day four, down two pounds already with the help of a healthy diet (salmon, yogurt, Brussel sprouts). I can actually feel a change in my belly, almost like a balloon deflating slowly. The first day, I took four with a little water on an empty stomach. Big mistake! Indigestion, burning in my throat and esophagus. Lesson learned! On day two, I had a bowl of cereal with strawberries and milk, then took two capsules 500 mg total. Huge improvement! Now I have a little yogurt in the morning before taking two pills. I take two more with my evening meals of pot roast or chicken and Brussel sprouts. By day three, I was down a pound. On day four, I can feel a difference, but I still have a long way to go. I have read that you should drink plenty of water, which accomplishes three goals: fills you up, keeps you hydrated, and helps flush the fat. I am experiencing some digestive issues for the first time today, but I can’t say for sure that this supplement has anything to do with it, but I am definitely flushing something!

I bought it to control my blood sugar, and it is working better than the gummies I bought before. So I have to wait longer to see if it really works 100%, so I don't have to take pharmaceutical medication that can kill your organs. It is so bad; the softgels should be a little bit smaller.

When I first started taking this Berberine, I went straight to the recommended 4 softgels all at once. Unfortunately, taking them all together made me pretty nauseous. Instead of giving up, I decided to split the dosage: 2 softgels in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. That small tweak completely solved the stomach discomfort and worked like a charm! I started using the berberine product from the brand Micronutrientes. Unfortunately, my experience has been challenging. I started with a low dose (one capsule per day), then increased weekly: one in the morning and one in the afternoon, eventually two in the morning and two in the afternoon by the fourth week. Sadly, when I increased the dose, I started feeling a lot of nausea, stomach pain, and vomiting. If I stop taking it, I feel better, but whenever I resume, the symptoms come right back.
