I purchased some chicks in October.... I didn't think about the fact that they wouldn't be big enough to go into the coop with the other chickens this winter...I was looking for something I could keep the chicks in, in the barn and I needed it to have a top so the cats couldn't get in with the chicks..... This pen did the job perfectly ....it was easy to put together... there is plenty of room for the 12 chickens and I like the fact that it is tall enough they actually have room to fly...Feeding and watering is super easy... There are 2 access doors on the bottom and 2 on the top...It could be made a little more sturdy but I'm totally okay with the product for the price....overall I am extremely happy with my purchase ... show more

The chicken coop is a little on the weak side but it’s perfect size for my chickens! I would suggest using extra ties on the doors! It was very easy to put together! I like it a lot!

We use this for pullets that are big enough to leave the brooder but not big enough to be introduced to our adult flock. We have a dog kennel inside to keep them out of the weather and they actually use the roosts. We added an additional shade cloth as well. It’s great for our purposes.     • Don't Use For a Permanent Enclosure
This cage is good for daytime use and training your chicks to return to the coop before night, but it isn't sturdy enough for a permanent enclosure. I didn't have high expectations to begin with, so wasn't disappointed. Even with the push-in anchors, a large racoon or a coyote can lift the cage high enough to get into. It is flimsy, so use all the wire ties. For permanent use, anchor the cage to a sturdy base, such as pressure-treated lumber, and use wire instead of wire ties. The instructions are poor, but give a starting point. One item missing is to make sure the wire doors open out before securing anything. Once our free-range chicks are trained, I'll put this away for the next batch. ... show more

So easy to assemble. I use it for my rabbits.The number of doors that are included are awesome. The metal is extremely strong. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an outdoor safe place for their chickens. Or in my case rabbits. Extremely happy.

I bought the small one first because some of the reviews said it wasn’t very strong. That is not the case. I ended up buy this one and putting them together and making a perfectly safe and secure space. I use them for 5 chickens but 10 could fit fine. I really like all the different doors and that it looks nice, like visually appealing. If you live in town or you want a really nice looking fence, get this. Also, you can take parts/doors off and zip tie or wire together and make different designs. 10 out of 10 recommend ... show more
