Very well made. Easy to put together ( I'm 75 F, and put it together myself).( Not sure, if suppose to, but makes a clunk noise when it starts, like jumping into gear sound). I don't understand the programming yet. It's larger than I thought, but it's OK, in my tiny apt. I needed this since I rarely get out, great for walking n cardio. I picked this 1, for safety, sturdiness ( plus bar across handles). Good price, great deal, for anyone, who needs excercise. I won't be running on it, at my age, but it goes to 7.5mph.3 levels in line. I haven't checked volume etc, since I have sound bar, in same room. Has aux and USB port. Little ledge for your phone, tablet. Drink holders age good size! ( I don't need). Reads your pulse on the handlebars. I've sat so long...I really needed this!!! I haven't tried to fold it. I am very happy with this treadmill. It was easy to set up; only need to attach two legs and tighten some screws. However, the only suggestion I would make is that whoever packages it should secure the upright section to the base so that you can remove it from the box easily. Then once you remove it, you could cut the tape or whatever they would use. I tried to get it out of the box myself and got pinched a couple times because it would open up and close too easily. The treadmill is quiet and runs well. I like the readout which shows time, distance, calories burned, heart rate and speed. I think that the speed is not "mph" but a "level" of speed. I have not tried the programmed workouts or anything else. Some reviewers commented on the size of the treadmill; it is, of course, smaller than what is at the gym. However, unless you are extra large, for the average person, it is large enough. I am very pleased with this. ... show more

9 month update - Still going strong and love the treadmill. Haven't had to add any additional silicone lubrication yet. Very good low cost treadmill. It even has some mild incline functionality I didn't notice initially. Only a few degrees but on a flat hard surface (not carpet) you will feel the difference. My first impression review and use after two days: Really like this treadmill. It is a bit on the small side but it is a perfect starter treadmill for me. Bit of background. I am 5'8 male approximately 150 pounds. The platform of the treadmill is just right. Not huge, definitely a sweat spot but I feel like I have room to walk or jog full stride. I typically walk about 15,000 steps per day. And I am really looking forward to having a convenient way to keep my step count up when the weather is bad. I could see this being too small for someone over 6ft with a longer stride, but it really is perfect for my height. I was worried from other reviews about the speed, I am a pretty fast walker and moderate jogger. Happy to say the mill is plenty fast. I can not currently jog at the top speed on this for long at all, so there is room for me to improve which I like. My typical walking speed outside ranges from 3.2 mph to 3.6 top speed. On the treadmill I can walk at my comfortable fast pace at around the 6.7 speed setting. With 7.5 being a focused brisk power walk. I jog comfortablely on this treadmill at roughly the 10~10.5 setting and have room to bump it up to the 12 max speed setting as my speed improves. Speakers are passable. You can hear them while you walk. But they have little to no bass and are nothing special. Better off with a Bluetooth speaker or headphones. Lastly - I don't think the tred on the machine comes pre lubricated. I turned it on prior to putting any of the silicone lubricant on the tread belt and it was pretty loud. Although they include some silicone lubricant. I used my own [WD40 (Silicone version)] on the belt and it quieted down nicely. Now it's just an ongoing whoosh. So far I highly recommend this as a starter treadmill for a smaller man or woman on a budget. If I can remember I will follow up in 6months to a year to post about longevity. ... show more

I bought this Merax treadmill to replace a 7 to 8 year old Merax treadmill that I only missed using about 5 times total each of those years . This new model has the new brushless motor that is much quieter than the old one . The motor on this one has a rated life of 100,000 hours where the old one was 900 hours . This treadmill is so easy to use Unlike the old treadmill that had measurements only in kilometers , this one has it rated in miles so you don't have to calculate and convert kilometers into miles to tell how far you've walked . It comes with a couple of Allen head wrenches for when you need to adjust the belt . ... show more
