This is a pretty great exercise bike, especially considering the price. It wasn't hard to put together - I had it done in about an hour. If you can lift 25 - 50lbs, this shouldn't be a challenge for you. I bought this bike a few months ago now, and I have used it once or twice per week since then. It's a great workout, and I was pleased that it actually does fit the heights it describes. I'm 6'2, so I wanted to ensure that I would get proper leg extension, and I do. If there's any drawback to this bike, I would say that the build quality could be a little better. It's in good shape and feels like it will hold up, but the fittings are not as tight as they could be, leading to an overall "loose" feel to the bike. I will probably take it back apart and apply thread locker to all the bolts to ensure longevity. ... show more

I have been riding a recumbent bike almost daily for nearly 30 years riding 15 to 20 miles a day. This purchase was my 4th bike as I have worn out three others. My first problem is that the display does not light up. That is not the manufacture’s fault, I should have done my research. What is the manufacturer’s fault is the squeaks that come from the seat. Every week my husband has to tighten the seat adjustment to stop the noise. I regret buying this bike but I guess I’m stuck with it until I can wear it out. I have changed my rating on this bike because the seller gave me a full refund. Know that the company is willing to solve any issue that may arise. ... show more

It took a long time to assemble and a bit confusing. However at the very end a part was missing and a wire was defective. This caused endless problems. Amazon will refund only and not replace parts- but this would mean a complete disassembly and packing. Are you nuts. This is not a fair expectation. I should have been told if the part is missing or defective the only option would be to return it- not an option really. The manufacturer should replace the part. Amazon after two separate days of calling and discussing this issue said they could do nothing else other than a return. Not satisfactory. As an aside issue- most of agents I spoke with were patient and respectful. They seemed to understand that it was an unfair expectation to expect this older person to disassemble after hours of work putting the bike together but had no other solution. One person- I think the name is JIA- was rude and arrogant. She should not be a supervisor and basically told be there was nothing else to do. Enough is enough but all this rally gets me. a very small missing part and a defective wire and no solution offered. This is not a way to sell- especially a heavy and bulky item that is unreasonable to pack up and return. I expect so much more from amazon. Well- the end. ADDENDUM TO THE ABOVE REVIEW: Well- maybe not the end. A Merach customer service rep contacted me. She was extremely competent and worked to solve the problem. She got it right away. Because of this is must say Merach deserves its #1 rating and 5 Star rating. While Amazon is a great business I was happy that Merach stepped up. I would have to say one can buy with confidence. This was a wonderful purchase. A little tricky to put together at the magnet part but a video included in the maunal helped. It's a very quiet bike which helps since I live in a apartment complex. I'm a injured Vet and this is great on my hips compared to other excise machines.

    • Great Exercise Bike Needing A Few Improvements

I really like this exercise bike. Easy to use. Comfortable and great way to get a really good workout. I wanted something that I could use daily. This bike seems like it will hold up well. Just a few suggestions for improvement. (1) The seat/backrest constantly squeaked for the first month that I used it. I was constantly re-tightening the knob that adjusted the backrest. After about a month it stopped or maybe just stayed tightened. (2) I ride for distance and set the distance into the computer. I will let it count down. I hate watching it count down so I will cover the screen. The computer should have a beep when you have reached your goal. Very easy fix. (3) The two double A batteries do not last very long. I do ride everyday and the batteries last about six weeks. (4) When you do change out the batteries, you will lose all the data in the computer. So, no odometer of total miles that you have ridden. I think this is a great bike. All the suggested improvements are very easy fixes for the manufacture. I would definitely buy it again. ... show more

Arrive on time and was packed well. My son and I put it together in about 45 minutes. The assembly was not difficult but a few points in the directions could be clearer. I'm 6 feet tall and I don't think that anyone much taller would be computable. The resistance is perfect for me [I'm old and have had a lot of joints replaced] but it's not going to be changeling for anybody looking for hard core exercise.
