it does heat however, there is not a handle on it for mobility and no parts of the heater you can touch its all hot to the touch. you have to wait til it cools to move it. Please do not use if you have pets or children or older citizens because they will BURN!! if they come anywhere near the heater. the safety is just useless and thoughtless of the makers because those little steel sticks are straight from hell. I will update after winter to see if it works

The media could not be loaded. This heater has been a wonderful addition to my patio. Pretty simple to put together all I had to do was add the bottom support piece. Easy to turn on and off and adjust the heat from low, med or high with either the remote control or tapping the button on the top of the unit. Three adjustable heat settings is very nice. It heats up super quick. I'm enjoying it right now. I have mostly used the number one and two setting but number three will be nice if it gets a really cold.
