I purchased the "light" shade to color my boyfriends blonde/grey hair. Thank God I tested it on a small area. His hair turned medium brown. Wanted to try this after having a bad experience with JFM burning my scalp. I did a test as follows: applied a small amount behind my ear, repeating 3x after each one dried (about 5 mins). Left it on for about 30 minutes (directions say to leave it on for 48 hours), and after a day I had an allergic reaction - redness, itching, swelling, welts - that lasted for several days.
