This water filtration system is as described in the product description. The system arrived intact with no damage. It assembled easily. The filter cartridge priming instructions were easy to follow and the procedure worked well. There was very little cartridge dust noted during the priming procedure. The first batch of water through the system was clear. The first use had to be aborted because the threaded connection between the lower canister and spigot assembly leaked rather dramatically. The silicone washer in that joint, when removed and inspected, was damaged on the side that sealed to the canister nipple. Inspection of the canister nipple seal surface showed no burrs or other sharp edges. The other side of the washer looked fine so we reversed it and reinstalled it with a little petro-gel lubricant, and tightened the nut carefully with the included wrench with just enough torque to get a seal in the joint. We did not let the spigot rotate during this procedure. It then sealed fine and there have been no additional leaks, but we have been careful not to bump or twist the spigot. The UV circuit worked fine. The "free gift" battery pack is uses four18650 lithium batteries. Given the cost of four of these batteries, the free gift is not likely to be used. We measured the first full filtration cycle time. Each filter element (of the three) processed 5100 ml water in 1 hour and 15 minutes, 68 ml/minute, or 200 ml/minute for the system. This is more than acceptable. We are happy with this filter system.

I got this unit to filter and remove chlorine from my co-op water service. The taste and smell was very strong. The unit goes together easily, put the handle in the lid, put the spigot on the tank, clean all surfaces and rinse, the 3 membrane filters need to be "charged" I couldn't see charging them with chlorine laced water so I used fresh bottled water to backflush them and then put them in the tank. fill the top tank with water and let gravity do the rest. Throw the first batch away and put another tankfull in the top. No chlorine after that.

We travel in an RV. That means we sometimes connect to a questionable water source. With this we don't need to worry. We get clean and fresh tasting water no matter the source. It assembles easily. We like the UV for additional protection. This runs either from batteries or from a USB connection. The USB means it can run from standard power banks or from the included USB wall adapter. The water tastes good!
