THIS IS THE BEST BUNKIE BOARD EVER!! We put it on my son’s bed and the first night he slept with it under his mattress, he woke up w/no back pain!! He needs more support than these newer slatted frames provide (even though the slats are close together, it’s not enough support for ANY adult!) You def need a bunkie board unless you have a high dollar mattress that’s at least 14” deep. If ur mattress is 10-12” YOU NEED ONE OF THESE IN YOUR LIFE. His mattress wasn’t cheap but, we thought he needed a new one. Thank God we decided to try the MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE ALTERNATIVE & MAKE THIS PURCHASE!! His back no longer hurts and this one product has made all the difference. It was easy to put on, took no true effort or skill whatsoever. It’s stable, durable and it definitely purchase on for myself but I have a frame that lifts the head and feet of my bed so I need one in 3 pieces horizontally & I hvnt seen any of those yet. Oh, and there was zero odor associated with the product which is also very impt. •I paid full retail price for this product w/no promos or coupons! This product changed my life! Sounds dramatic but so true. My bed had issues…. The bed itself, purchased from Rooms to Go, only came with ineffective slats spaced far apart so my mattress sagged between each one and completely collapsed at the corners. I purchased this Bunkie Board as I thought it would be the easiest to get upstairs (I’m in my 60’s and live alone) and get under my mattress. After too many nights of terrible sleep, the Bunkie Board solved my problems!! I carried it upstairs and was able to slide them (comes in two parts) under my mattress without having to completely lift it up. I’m so happy with my purchase. Very stable, simple to “assemble”…. The panels just fold and unfold. Thank you Bunkie Board for understanding simplicity is best!!!!

I bought a new bed frame, and the slats are too far apart. Every morning, for almost two weeks straight, I woke up with extreme back pain from the mattress sagging in between. I felt like an elderly woman because I couldn’t stand up straight immediately after getting out of bed. I used this for the first time last night and woke up feeling so refreshed. For the first time in two weeks, my back wasn’t aching when I woke up in the morning. I honestly couldn’t recommend this enough. Now, will it hold up well, I have no idea, but it seems well made and it fit my bed. Plus, it seems easy to wipe down if needed. It’s pretty inconspicuous, so it works well for me. You can’t see it when the bed is made, and it doesn’t make any noise how some mattress covers crinkle and whatnot. It doesn’t add any true height to my bed, which I like. All in all, well worth the buy.

I’m actually very happy with the product itself, so far it has provided great support and if the price wasn’t so high I would give five stars for the functionality. Even with the high price I decided to purchase because weight was an important consideration for my hydraulic lift-up storage bed and options were limited for lightweight mattress support. Therefore I “bit the bullet” and ordered this product rather than using plywood. I do feel that this product is a good choice for the right situation.

Things of note about this particular product: The sizing is exact -- it fit perfectly inside the lip of the frame. The silicone beading on the frame side actually really works -- no slippage whatsoever (it stays put). The divided parts of the board (there are only two on the twin size) cross the board horizontally instead of vertically (as in other products) which means that the heaviest weight (hip area) is sitting on actual board and not on a split in the board (MUCH more stable). And the packaging/paperwork that comes with it is just delightful -- this seller REALLLLLY appreciates your purchase.

The Bunkie Boards came earlier than thought! Yay! We opted to get 2 sets of Bunkie Boards because the base of our new platform bed is solid wood all varnished and beautiful. We also purchased a 5" steel riser(boxspring). Even though the steel boxspring has a cover you put on~we were concerned about damaging the beautiful wood platform over time. So this actually all worked out well because without some sort of boxspring the mattress was not feeling supported enough just laying on the solid wood platform and the bed height was much lower than we anticipated. So the 5" steel (riser boxspring) gave the mattress the height we needed & we sandwiched this boxspring between the 2 sets of Bunkie Boards. So in our case, the 1st Bunkie Board set was placed on top of the solid wood platform(grippy side up, smooth side down on wood) to protect the wood from the steel bxspring frame. Then when the mattress lays on top of the steel frame, it has steel slats, where the mattress could potentially sag thru over time. So to prevent that we placed the 2nd set of Bunkie Boards on top of steel riser (grippy side down on steel) then the mattress, to prevent any sagging thru steel slats. Whew! The job is done. Our bed sits at a better height now and all is well. Bunkie Boards are great because they are pretty solid to support, protect & flat enough not to add any additional height.
