Received my Generator a day early. Added oil, and gas, set choke, pulled 6 times and it started. Plugged in my chest freezer, and it worked every time the compressor kicked on, then would go back to normal run speed. It was much quieter than most generators, but probably not quiet enough to camp with in state or national park campgrounds at night. The oil fill kind of stinks, so I recommend a funnel with a flexible hose end, and fill slowly. I haven’t drained the gas tank yet, so we’ll see if that’s a pain, or not later. It’s pretty small for storage too. I may add a small cart so my wife can move it more easily, at 47+ lbs it’s a bit cumbersome to just grab and walk around with. The rubber feet keeps it stable and in one place on my garage floor when running. I’m pretty pleased! ... show more

    • The Best Portable Generator Made
This one is the best size for doing almost anything around the house or truck or camping. The big thing people that have never used a generator don't know is how important getting the right size for the job is. Bigger is not better. The right size is the better one because if you buy too big, it will use too much gas and that is a pain to go get all the time. The quality is important too and this Honda is the top dog. It just works every time. Run the gas out of it when you are finished with it so the carb will stay clean. Don't keep old gas in it and expect it to run. Dump out the old gas. Change the oil often, read the book. Don't let it get stolen, everyone likes Honda Generators. This is my third one in 22 years, I won't buy anything different, it runs my whole condo except for the A/C, it sips gas, just enough to run what you need, other generators run full speed all the time and run you out of gas fast. i love honda generator very quiet u can truck from your phone when you have to change oil and some other things, i had Predator 3500 from harbor freight it’s was shutting off in hot weather, evry time problems i change twice but still was giving me problems and also honda burning a lot less gas,

I first used this style and brand of generator when I was on a two week deployment to Hurricane Katrina. This generator ran 24/7 for the duration of the deployment. I have purchased 3 of these units for my personal use and used them for emergency power during several hurricanes. They are extremely durable and easy to use and very reliable.     • Blue tooth will not pair with iPhone11pro
Sadly, this brand new out of the box generator will not pair with my iPhone. I’ve tried it a dozen times and followed directions to a T. The generator is top of the line but why Honda would chose to release bad software to associate with the generator is beyond me.

Very quiet, very efficient. I got close to 10 hours of use in the eco mode running a side by side refrigerator and a vornado floor fan on 1 gal of gasoline.
