I should have taken before and after pictures, but I didn't, so here's the tale of my struggles with my bathtub drain, and how this snake solved them. Long story short, this worked where short plastic snakes, plungers, green gobler, and draino all failed. I'm a guy with long hair, so as time goes on and hair accumulates, I've had trouble with my tub draining before - it'll get slow to the point where I'm standing in water covering my feet. At this point, I'll typically grab one of the drain weasel plastic 2 foot drain snakes, which I've written reviews for before. They are super easy to use and grab all the hair really well. This time, I shove that down the drain pull up some hair, and go on with my day. However the next time I shower, I'm still standing in water. So I do it again. And again. And again. Nothing changes. I try to pull out a plunger and plunge the drain. Nothing changes. I buy Green Gobbler, follow the instructions, and it seems to work better briefly. Then, it gets worse. At this point, it takes hours to drain just a few inches of water. I buy draino, follow the instructions and nothing changes It is at this point that I also noticed that running my bathroom sink also now flows into the tub, leading me to believe the clog is further down the pipe than just something a short snake will be able to get. Enter: this 25 foot snake. I picked this one because the video made it look easy. I've never really used a snake like this before, but it seemed pretty foolproof, and turns out it was. First I tried shoving it down my tub drain - I couldn't because the end was too large. Then I tried pulling off the overflow/plug switch and feeding it through there. I got it a little way down but eventually couldn't get it to go any further. So, because my sink was also part of the issue I decided to feed it through there. It was pretty easy to feed down, spin to get around bends, and keep feeding. Eventually I got to a point where it just wouldn't go any further, but I kept trying for probably five minutes, and suddenly, the tub starts gurgling, and the standing water from earlier in the morning (literally from ten hours ago) drains away in ten seconds. Took me all of 30 minutes total which included finding a screwdriver, pulling off the overflow cap and puting it back on twice because I wanted to try again, and try all three "points of entry". Really once I moved to the sink, it was less than ten minutes and my problem was solved. This thing is great and I'd recommend to anybody who needs an easy drain snake that is a little more heavy duty than those 2 foot plastic ones. Great value, easy to use, quick, and it seems well made/durable. I couldn't be happier. It even came with a little storage bag to throw it in now that I'm done with it.

Over the course of the last 2 years I have spent $500 or more on drain unclog liquids and a couple different snake tools in my shower drain with no resolve. After using the liquids and the snakes it seemed to drain a little better however water would still get up to your ankles or more by the end of your shower. After reading the reviews about this product I was both hopeful and skeptical. My skepticism quickly turned into delight after using this tool. In less than 5 minutesI got a an apple sized hair clog out of my pipes in my shower about 15 feet in using a 20v drill. Watch the video and follow the instructions exactly as they tell you to. If you are at all competent you will clear the clog from your pipes providing it is within the length of this tools requirements. Everyone needs on of these in there home. The price is affordable and takes very little time to unclog the clog. My only complaint is that I did not know about this product until now. I poured so much money down the drain and wasted so much time these last two years trying to unclog the clog without success. Now after using this product I can take a shower and not be standing in 4 inches of water when I'm done.

My recent encounter with the MEISTERFAKTUR Drain Snake 4.0 proved to be nothing short of a disappointment. Despite its promising features and purported functionality, this plumbing snake failed to live up to even the most basic expectations, breaking down on its inaugural use. Upon receiving the MEISTERFAKTUR Drain Snake 4.0, I was initially optimistic about its auto-feeding mechanism and its touted suitability for sink plumbing. However, my enthusiasm quickly turned to frustration as the device faltered at the first hurdle. During its maiden voyage into the depths of my sink drain, the MEISTERFAKTUR Drain Snake 4.0 encountered unexpected resistance and promptly succumbed to the pressure, breaking apart with alarming ease. The plastic components, touted for their durability, proved shockingly flimsy and inadequate for the task at hand. Not only did the device fail to dislodge the clog, but it also left me with a broken tool and a sink still in dire need of attention. The auto-feeding mechanism, which should have facilitated smooth and effortless operation, proved to be more of a hindrance than a help. Rather than advancing the snake with precision and control, the mechanism jammed repeatedly, exacerbating the situation and adding to my frustration. What should have been a straightforward task turned into a futile exercise in troubleshooting and disappointment. Furthermore, the build quality of the MEISTERFAKTUR Drain Snake 4.0 leaves much to be desired. The materials used in its construction feel cheap and flimsy, lacking the sturdiness and resilience necessary for effective plumbing work. It is evident that corners were cut in the manufacturing process, resulting in a subpar product that falls short of its advertised capabilities. In addition to its lackluster performance, the MEISTERFAKTUR Drain Snake 4.0 also fails to inspire confidence in its longevity and reliability. If the device cannot withstand the rigors of a single use without breaking apart, how can consumers trust it to deliver lasting results over time? The answer is clear: they cannot. In conclusion, my experience with the MEISTERFAKTUR Drain Snake 4.0 was nothing short of disappointing. From its flimsy construction to its dysfunctional auto-feeding mechanism, this plumbing snake failed to deliver on its promises and left me with a sink still in need of repair. Save yourself the frustration and invest in a more reliable and robust alternative.
