  • Nice compact unit with stare button.
Style: 1-Burner Grill
Factory Build is solid, works nice and legs fold up and out of the way. Top latches closed and a propane bottle can be stored inside for travel. Nice sturdy unit.

  • It works, not without its flaws, but it works, and I'd probably buy it again given the choice
Style: 1-Burner Grill
I actually bought this grill last summer but ended up injuring my knee and wasn't able to use it for my intended purpose until today. I wanted something small and portable to strap to my kayak for picnicking on the river. There's a nice little sandy island halfway down a leg of the local river that makes for the perfect spot to kayak to, get out and do some fishing and grilling, and then pack up and head home down river. I wanted propane so I wouldn't have to deal with packing out charcoal. After trying a disaster of a different grill, that I sent back, I ended up buying this one because it looked like it had everything I need with an affordable price. Like I said, I finally got to use it for the first time today so here are my thoughts. Overall, somewhere between 3.5 and 4 stars. Here are the reasons it's not a 5 star product for me: 1. The latch to hold the lid shut is a terrible design that you cannot trust to hold it shut while carrying it from the front handle. When I first got it, the latch wouldn't even stay closed. After some careful bending of the metal of it, I got it to "mostly stick", but still not something I'd trust. Everything else about this grill feels pretty solid, I'm surprised they skimped on this latch. For literally a dollar more they could have made something that closes perfectly every time. 2. Slow cooking. Ok maybe that just comes with the territory, since it's a small portable grill. It takes about double the time it would take to grill a burger on your full size propane deck grill. I really wasn't too bothered by this, but I mention it as a specific bullet point because it loses heat SO FAST if you open the lid. And it takes forever to get back up to temp. So try to keep lid opening to a minimum. 3. Uneven cooking. Partly my fault, I didn't realize until halfway thru that the head spreadher shield had come dislodged during transport. The burgers on the back were still almost frozen while the ones on the front were done. I was able to fix that and start another batch of burgers, hoping it'd be more even this time, but it was still pretty uneven. Seems the burgers on the left cook faster than the ones on the right? It makes you have to check often, which is a problem because of point number 2 above. Overall, it's a nice grill and I'm glad I own it. I cooked 6 burgers at a time, you might be able to squeeze 8 in, but 6 felt more comfortable. It took about 20 minutes, or 10 minutes per side to cook from frozen patties. It does what I wanted it to do, was a little cheaper than the other options out there, and overall I'm satisfied. ... show more

  • The ease to put together and I love having a thermostat on it.
Style: 1-Burner Grill
I was gonna return it cause I was overwhelmed about the parts I had to put together, but I really wanted a portable grill. I decided to give it a try… instructions are so easy, pictures with no having to read. I felt like a professional it went so smooth and quick to put together. I would add though to get an adapter for a 20lb tank… my area, I have to drive a good 40 minutes to refill the portable tanks. Tractor supply sells 2 portable tanks for $13 that have propane in em, but they do not refill them. ... show more

  • Great little grill! But don't expect it to behave like your big grill...ALL little grills run HOT!
Style: Megamaster Premium 2-Burner Propane Gas ...
I really like this grill! No bolts to assemble...you just put the heat deflectors in, the catch tray, and attach the hose. It lights easily, and heats quickly. I did add a thermostat to the top (simple oval thermostat you can get for $4.99 on Amazon). However, ALL small grills like this will cook very hot if you turn it up all the way. Doesn't matter the brand. I've owned at least 6 small grills for home and my RV, and they ALL perform this way. Keep the gas turned low. And here's a pro tip: get a Grill Grate for it......makes a HUGE difference in how it cooks, and you can have a "grill" surface or "flat" surface to cook on, plus it buffers the high heat from these little grills. I realize it's an added expense, so not everyone will want to do it. You have to order those from the Grill Grate company, but they are worth their weight in gold. I have a set that I switch around from various grills. ... show more

  • Great grill...dangerously vague instructions!
Style: Megamaster Premium 2-Burner Propane Gas ...
This is a nicely designed and well built grill. Just the right size for portability and for folks who don't have a ton of room on their decks, patios or verandas. Our only criticism is that the operating instructions are dangerously vague. We're pretty good re following instructions but experienced a small explosion when trying to light it. There's no diagram or explanation describing the starting position for the knobs. We assumed that you would turn them to the right from the lowest setting to the spark symbol. Wrong! Gas is flowing at the low setting and by the time we got to the spark symbol...boom! You must start from the fully vertical position and turn them to the left. ... show more
