This Medela Harmony Manual Breast Pump is easy to use and easy to use in a hurry when you needed to pump what felt like hours ago. Easy to clean, too, which is just as important. The small-handle side is good for short, quick pumps to get things flowing (if you're not) and then you can switch to use the long end of the handle for "long draws" to power pump. Lightweight and doesn't take up too much room. I do like the oval flanges. The ones that came with it were pretty close to my size, so I could use it either with or without an insert. It's more comfortable and more effective for me to use with an insert to size down about one MM. Since I induced without pregnancy, I don't have colostrum, but new mothers will appreciate a clean method of collecting and keeping the colostrum for when the new baby comes along to help their digestion. The colostrum collection syringes are colored, so easy to discern from any other items you have around (like your pet's meds or whatever) when you store them. Overall, a simple, easy solution. Good suction, the oval flanges work even better than the round ones for me, and leans to the smaller side, which also works well for me. The small-handle quick-pump side will save you some hand effort, although an electric pump will definitely do that with less effort. If you're like me, there's still some manual removal to do after the electric pump is done, and this is a good choice for that. Also good for on-the-go pumping - doesn't take up too much room in the bag. Good, solid choice, and made to withstand lots of washing and use.

The combination of the Harmony manual pump and the colostrum collection accessories makes this a very practical all-in-one solution. The manual pump is comfortable to use and surprisingly effective for relieving engorgement or expressing small amounts without having to set up an electric pump. We particularly appreciated the included colostrum collectors and feeding syringes, which made it easy to collect, store, and feed expressed colostrum without transferring it between multiple containers and risking spills. The setup was straightforward, and all of the components felt well-made and durable. Having sterile collectors and syringes ready to use right out of the package was especially helpful during those hectic first days home from the hospital. While a manual pump isn't ideal for exclusive pumping or building a large freezer stash, it's excellent as a backup pump, for occasional use, travel, or collecting colostrum before and immediately after birth. This is my favorite brand of pumps. I've used several different brands, manual and automatic, and this is the one that I consistently go back too. It's easy to figure out how to use, you can control the rate, and there is a small tab that you can use if you need more shallow/quick pumps (to get started). The added small colostrum syringes are nice to have, though I have never needed to use them. The parts are easy to take apart and clean, and it fits most standard bottles (though not all will fit in the stand). You can also purchase replacement parts without issue, which is nice if you are using this to pump often.

I have been breastfeeding and this manual pump has genuinely surprised me with how effective it is. There is something to be said for having a reliable manual option because sometimes you just need to get it all out quickly without dealing with cords, chargers, or carrying around a bulky electric pump. I got to the point where I stopped bringing my electric pump to work entirely and switched to this full time. I was able to pump around 20 ounces in under 45 minutes which honestly impressed me. For a manual pump that is no small thing and it made my whole pumping routine at work so much simpler. The colostrum collection add-on is something I wish more people knew about before they deliver. If I had this at birth, it would've been a game changer because my son had a lip and tongue tie, and breastfeeding was really painful that first week before we got it corrected. Being able to collect colostrum during that time made a huge difference, and I was so glad I had it ready from the start. If you are on the fence about a manual pump or think it cannot keep up with your output this one can. It is efficient, easy to use, and a genuinely solid backup or primary option depending on your situation.

I am a mother of five and enjoyed breastfeeding all my children. I was fortunate that I didn't HAVE to pump, but when I did Medela was the best. I know that breastfeeding isn't easy for everyone so my present for every baby shower is a "Breastfeeding Survival Kit". This is the perfect addition to that! A handpump is a must-have no matter if you are planning to exclusively pump or exclusively breastfeed. Sometimes you just need to take a little pressure off so the baby can latch. The colostrum collection kit is such a great idea; a couple of my kids had low blood sugar when they were born and the hospital likes to know how much milk they are getting. My rating system 5 stars - I love it, would buy again/more colors; would recommend to my friends 4 stars - It's a quality product but I don't love it; probably wouldn't buy again, but would recommend to friends 3 stars - Product doesn't meet expectations but might work for some; would not recommend 2 stars - Product is low quality; does not do what it says; would discourage others from buying 1 star - Product is absolute trash or dangerous; would warn others to not purchase

I have an AC powered breast pump at home but that is not portable so got this manual breast pump that can be carried anywhere. Things I like about this product: - It works pretty well & easy to use with wide handles - These pump flange sticks well and don't loosen up easily - It is pretty small in size and won't be noticeable outdoor - Comes with all parts & accessories in the package including Colostrum collection tubes Things that need improvement: - Price is at high end and not everyone would prefer especially when it is mostly not claimable through medical insurance Overall take: Expensive but convenient breast pumps. Recommended if you can afford it.
