Style: Breast Pump
Product arrived today and I have been so excited about trying this pump! I use a Spectra normally. While I can carry the Spectra around, it doesn’t exactly make moving around comfortable and the pump is bulky. This pump has good previous reviews and looked like it would meet my desire for being able to do other things whilst pumping. Pump was packaged nicely in box. Included charger for pump which is great! Instructions are very clear and set up is very easy. It comes with a 24mm and 21 mm cup. I just so happen to fit the 21 mm so I didn’t need to do anything with that. The pump part comes charged, but instructions say to charge before first use. The pump itself is very simple and easy to figure out. The display is clear and the design is sleek. I would say it’s about the size of a thick TV remote, so maybe not necessarily easy to store in a pocket, but it does have a short lanyard attached for carrying on the wrist. I personally bought a separate lanyard so that I am able yo wear the device around my neck. Hands free with a pump on my wrist defeats the purpose to me. I immediately Connected the pump to the Medela Family App, which is super great. App has lots of articles to read about various feeding topics. It also allows you to keep track of pumping time and has a virtual storage part that allows you to keep track of milk that way. App is user friendly and definitely a nice addition to the pump. I am looking forward to storing my sessions because I am the worst at keeping track of my daily output. Unfortunately I’m a just enougher so it’s nice to keep track of what I’m making so I can trend it. Washing: super easy! Only three parts: the cup itself, membrane and flange. My first pump: cups are nicely shaped. Fit perfectly inside my nursing bra and have a natural shape to them. I do look like I have large breasts, but honestly with a looser fitting top, pumping in public would be no big deal. The cups are better shape and size than some that I’ve seen. Very comfortable and easy to see nipple alignment/let down through the clear side. I also love that there is an audible click when the cup in in place. Makes worrying about leaks a thing of the past (a common issue with many wearable pumps). I do worry about this breaking down over time, but the cups look and feel well made. The tubing can be configured two ways:inward and outward. Easy to string down inside of shirt for even more discreet pumping length is adequate and seems sturdy. I figured the best way to break this pump in is to do laundry! I was able to easily do this task without worrying about spillage or the cups moving due to being too heavy. Very light and I honestly hardly noticed them! I will say, however, the touch screen on the pump is SO sensitive. I did accidentally change settings several times while folding clothes and it was kind of annoying. I wish there was a way to lock the screen so that this doesn’t happen. The suction is pretty strong. While the strength is 245 (I think) it feels stronger than my spectra and is easy to toggle down. It automatically starts in let down mode as well which I love as my other pump starts in expression mode and can be a real shocker if I forget. The pump is not loud being worn, but when set on a hard surface it vibrates around quite a bit. But since I don’t plan to be sitting while using this pump, it’s not really a concern for me personally. Output: I have tried other wearable options and not gotten great output. I pumped maybe half an ounce less than my usual output, not a big deal and could be that time is needed for adjusting to the different type of pump. Overall, I would recommend this pump for ease of use and quality. I am excited to have this option for more freedom of movement as the worst part of pumping is feeling chained to the couch all the time. ... show more

  • Best hands free pump I’ve tried
Style: Breast Pump
I bought this because I did not respond well to the OG elvies and needed something hands free at home since I also have a toddler. Pros: - good suction: almost got the same outfit as I do with my spectra - easy to clean - parts don’t have to be completely dry to work (unlike elvie) -decent battery life - can track sessions with the medela app as it connects via Bluetooth - switches from stimulation mode to expression automatically after 2 minutes - cups are light weight & hold a lot. Says it’s 5oz but I’ve had 8oz before needing to empty Cons: - touch screen has no lock feature so when it’s in my pocket I sometimes accidentally pause or change settings - the lanyard on it is an awkward length: too long for a wrist and too short for around the neck - no clip to hang off clothing -tubbing disconnects very easily - suction is affect very easily by any bend in the tubing - pretty loud ... show more

  • Ok output. Micro vibrations are annoying!
Style: Breast Pump
As soon as I tried this pump, I knew it wouldn't be for me, but I'm stuck with it until I can find an alternative portable pump. I don't like the vibration feeling that I get from the stimulation so I have to go to expression faster than I normally would. The vibration in general does nothing for me except irritate me. I noticed a glub/sloshing noise and thought my suction was losing but the sound is from a pool of milk from a heavy letdown. I took off the cup to see if the pool would drip down into the cup but it gets stuck (I spilled at least a half ounce doing this!). So keep the cup suctioned and lean down and eventually the milk will get pulled in. That slosh irritated me so much more. I don't feel the most comfortable when I use this pump and regret getting it. The cups and the fact that they are only 3 parts is what made me get it because I hate cleaning pump parts. Output is comparable to my Lansinoh Smartpump 2.0, but too annoying to use more than 1x a day (maybe 2 if I'm super busy), so it's only an interim pump. I got this to replace an Elvie Stride I have. I loved it, but after more than a year of use, it just no longer suctions properly/I no longer respond to it, and only get half an oz from each breast. I typically pump 4-7 oz each session depending on the time of day, every 5-6 hours and 7-8 hrs overnight. ... show more

  • Overall easy to use
Style: Breast Pump
I looked at different wearable pumps for months before getting this one. It has great suction not as much as my stationary medela but still good. It is very easy to operate. The only draw back is I work as a health care worker and I need to be able to put the pump in my pocket, but the screen doesn't have a lock feature so you bump buttons and change settings while moving around. Also, it is easy to take apart and clean! ... show more
