  • Solid carrier at a decent price point
Style: Cargo Carrier / Bike Rack
Solid construction and very practical. I use it to haul two electric bikes, 60-80lbs each on the back of a Jeep, and it works flawlessly. With no bikes on, it allows me to use the Jeep's swinging rear door without issue. Assembly took about an hour by myself. Instructions could be clearer but it's simple enough to figure out. Definitely worth the $ ... show more

  • Great carrier for gear and bikes
Style: Cargo Carrier / Bike Rack
Just finished putting this unit together this afternoon. Very impressed with the heavy-duty construction and bracing. It is very heavy, between 45 and 50 pounds. But to support 500 lbs as advertised, it would need to be of good construction. The bike tire braces are very heavy duty. Unit comes with two ratchet-straps. It has red and white DOT reflective stickers on the rear side of the tray. Comes with an anti-rattle device for the hitch as well. Includes the standard hitch pin which provides no security against theft at all, so I use a lockable hitch pin. Overall, a good product and easy to assemble. ... show more

  • Versatile
Style: Cargo Carrier / Bike Rack
Easy off and on, lightweight but sturdy. Can use for bikes and bins, but not both at same time.

  • Solid rack for the money.
Style: Cargo Carrier / Bike Rack
I just assembled and installed this on my truck. It’s very sturdy (except for the small 10mm bolts — I may upgrade those later), but it worked perfectly for my needs. I ride a recumbent bike, which is hard to fit on most standard bike racks. One caution: the assembled rack is quite heavy — I’d estimate around 40 pounds. While loading the bike onto the rack is much easier than lifting it into the bed of the truck, there’s a trade-off. You have to haul the rack out of the garage, install it on the truck, and tighten the hitch stabilizer using a 19mm wrench. Overall, it’s great for trips. For short, single-day rides, I’m not sure it’s worth the extra effort compared to simply loading the bike in the truck bed. Update: I adjusted the spacers and wheel hoops, moving the hoops farthest to the outside and placing all three spacers in the middle. This created enough room to add my wife’s fat tire e-bike. I’m still experimenting with tie-downs, but so far I feel I need four (one on each side of each bike) to fully control shifting and sway. I also added an attached bag (see last picture) to collect the loose strap ends while driving and to store all the straps when the rack is back in the garage. Between the two bikes, I estimate I’m carrying about 110 pounds. The rack does have some slight twisting (clockwise and counterclockwise) when I shake the bikes. While it may be rated to hold 500 pounds when stationary, I personally wouldn’t feel comfortable carrying much more than 150 pounds of bikes while driving over bumpy roads or heavy traffic. ... show more

  • Great producy
Style: Cargo Carrier / Bike Rack
Easy assembly. Heavy duty. Made extremely well and durable. Bikes are held on tightly. Just used it to go camping with 6 & 8 yr old grandkids so easy access to bikes while we set up and break down is heaven sent. LOL

  • Wobble was so bad I abandoned it. Tube is too loose in hitch.
Style: Cargo Carrier / Bike Rack
The most disappointing purchase of the year. I read the few reviews stating that this wobbled more than expected. However I saw it came with an anti-wobble clamp so I figured I’d be fine. I was very very wrong. The tube that goes into the hitch is not wide/tall enough. I was able to easily fit 4 credit cards in the gap. Original I taped it up a lot fill the gap but that only worked for a few trips. The images should show the scraping, that’s how much this thing wobbles, with the clamp installed. The clamp only works of you are transporting it without anything in it. I got so fed up with it and the damage it caused my e-bike that I left it at our campsite. Disassembled the bike and put it in the trunk. I would have returned it if I could but it’s already damaged, from no fault of my own. Oh and the noise from the wobbling is also fun to hear. ... show more

  • Well made and quite versatile
Style: Cargo Carrier / Bike Rack
I looked at a lot of bike racks and settled on this one because of its versatility. We do a lot of camping and I like to bring one of my bikes when we go. I always had to choose between my road bike or mountain bike because of lack of space to carry them. This carrier allows up two bike to be carried. So far I've only carried one bike at a time but have used it of each. I had no worry about the bikes coming loose as the connection was very secure. You are supplied a ratchet strap for each bike. These are also rubber holding straps that can be used to keep bikes in place while doing the final strap securing procedure. The bikes are very stable when strapped on, the unit is only 43 lbs and the bike brackets can be easily removed for other cargo transport. The unit is well made and powder coated. Also. it cam with an anti rattle clamp for the hitch. ... show more

  • Jack of all trades, master of none.
Style: Cargo Carrier / Bike Rack
I wanted to love this, since it’s about a quarter of the price of any decent hitch bike rack. However, as advertised, it serves as both a cargo carrier and bike rack, but does not excel at either. Specifically, as a bike carrier this thing is heavy, protrudes out several feet, and is not foldable. All that to say that it’s subject to getting bumped by an unknowing car in the parking lot, when not loaded, due to its low height - again, it’s not foldable. Further it takes some time installing it on the receiver, to include tightening the coupling, cranking down the tie downs and still manages to wobble. Any decent bike rack is going to take half the time to load bikes. For a cheap alternative and not traveling far with it I give it 3 stars for price, build quality, and the ability to return it, which I did. ... show more
