Great results so far. While assembling make sure to look up a video on how others have put it together because the instructions were missing key details. Also pack the charcoal container full of newspaper because when we tipped our upside-down to begin the assembly, all the ceramic insulation blocks fell out and it was a real pain to put back in place. I didn't have trouble with wifi because I have a 2.4 Ghz connection for my kids. If you don't want to mess with it right away, just have someone turn on their hotspot and connect your phone to it before pairing. Also, be sure to have plenty of blocks of wood and have some pellets of the same flavor on hand if you find that you put too much charcoal in and not enough wood. They fall between the blocks of charcoal to the firebox. Also throw a block into the ash box. I'm impressed with the quality and how quickly it gets to temp. It stays within 10 degrees once you get to your ideal temp but it is mostly within a degree or two. ... show more

Masterbuilt ruined my Fathers day!!!! THINK OF THIS - IF YOU ORDER THIS GRILL AND IT DOESN"T WORK YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK. Masterbuilt does not support their products, at least not for me (the regular old customer). What a piece of crap. Assembly was 9 of 10 on difficulty scale. Assembly pics were terrible with no text. You would think that for a $700+ product they could supply decent pics. Then, after a 2 hour assembly I got an Err 1 on startup. After research, Err 1 indicated a bad temp sensor. Masterbuilt support is the worst ever so I ordered a sensor from Amazon so I could be up for Fathers Day. That fixed Err 1. Now, whenever I set a temp the controller just shuts off. WIsh I could send it back but how do you box up a 200 lb grill and ship it back? Don't but this. ... show more

No customer service, I have an issue with the motherboard to power up and I have sent several emails with no response from master built. I would go somewhere else.

I’ve been using the Masterbuilt Gravity 600 for a while now, and it’s honestly become my go-to grill. This is actually my first grill, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it’s been super easy to learn and use from day one. I’ve always loved charcoal cooking, but I used to hate how much attention it needed. This thing changed that for me. It’s so easy to use and operate—I can load it up, set the temp, and actually go hang out instead of babysitting the fire. It just works. No stress, no constant adjustments. What really sold me is how consistent it is. I’ll throw on ribs or burgers and trust that it’s going to hold steady the whole time. And the flavor? Still that classic smoky charcoal taste I grew up loving. It’s made grilling feel fun again for me—less work, more time enjoying it with family and friends. In my opinion this is one awesome grill. The ability to dial in your temperature is the key. I know that if the tech breaks the grill is out of order, but so far (Approx. 1 mth) everything is great. I have done chicken, ribs, steaks, butts and veggies and it does low and slow to hot and fast. The advantage of using your own charcoal, lump wood and chips is also key. I will say it is a bit of a tough build. There a lot of parts and the instructions do not have any words. (Saves money on printing for different languages I would suspect) took me several hours and a couple of head scratches to complete. Capacity of this grill is pretty good a had two butts on the top rack, ribs and chicken on the bottom. It was full but cooked everything. The internal grill temp stays within 1 to 2 degrees when set. The value for the money on this 'controlled temperature' grill is great when compared to pellet grills. Would highly recommend this grill at this point in its use.     • Absolutely DEFECTIVE app/connectivity.. HORRIBLE customer service!!!
UPDATE: GARBAGE!!! AVOID MB at all costs... Second controller died. First, I'm a highly technical person. I do sysadmin, work on PC's/websites, etc. Been doing it for over 30 years. I'm not some boomer that can't hack... One of the key selling factors for this grill/smoker is the app control. Plus, you need app connectivity to update firmware, etc. The connection process is absolute garbage! First you have to pair the app via BT, then the grill itself needs to connect to wifi. 1) Even though I'm surrounded by literally hundreds of wifi networks by my house, it can't find a single one... Zip... 2) I contacted their absolutely worthless customer support via chat in app, and they flat out told me that it will not connect to 5G wifi... WTF?!!! it's a new model in 2024!!! So I created a passwordless 2.4 guest network on my router. Can't see that either. I'm at a loss. All the customer support is online and it's absolutely horrible! If you care at all about using the app/digital controls RUN AWAY FROM THIS GARBAGE GRILL! ... show more

    • Masterbuilt Gravity 600 - Would not repurchase
Very difficult to put together. Once constructed, the fan did not work--even after troubleshooting. I am still trying to connect with customer service for assistance or replacement parts. Or a new grill. Looks like it could be a good unit, but does not function.
