The Starfire Women's Hooded Rain Jacket features Marmot's comfortable and breathable Nanopro Membrain 3-Layer waterproofing technology. Nanopro Membrain coating is comprised of densely packed pores small enough to keep water droplets from getting in, but big enough to let water vapor out—providing cool, dry comfort even as your activity level increases. The Starfire also features fully taped seams to prevent leaks and an adjustable hood with a moldable brim to keep raindrops away from your face and eyes. If the interior heat should begin to build up, simply open the water-resistant Pitzips—zippered ventilation openings under the arms—to increase air flow. Your arms will retain full mobility through it all, thanks to the built-in Angel-Wing Movement.

This is my second Marmot jacket but it fits differently than my first one. The size SMALL in this model was very tight under my armpits so I had to size up to a Medium. The Medium fits well in the arms but is a little large through the body and hips. Since I will be using this for hiking I find that it will work since I often need a rain shell over my other layers. It packs down small enough to put in a backpack and I appreciate the pit-zips as well as the zippered pockets and helmet compatible adjustable hood that really does keep the rain/snow off of your face. ... show more

Good jacket totally wind proof but you still need something under it because the cold wind makes the jacket feel cold. The only problem is the zipper gets stuck in the lining every time. Its very annoying. But other than that is a great jacket.

It looks pretty, but anything you touch could potentially stain it. I bought it once and the ad leeves were stained up by anything I touched so I washed it and it looked worse when I got it out of the washer. I bought another one...this time i scotch guarded it,and I followed the washing instructions to the letter and now the tapped seams have come undone! It's a very nice looking jacket, but Its not worth the amount being charge. It really is a shame because I really liked it. ... show more

I bought two. Love this jacket. I love in Houston and this winter it has been in the 50s. It’s not so much the temp but the wind and humidity is horrible. This has been a lifesaver and the only jacket I’ve been wearing with a couple layers under it.

The jacket is a shell, but I have other shells that are much warmer. It is really loud too, when you are moving around. Noticed it right away when I first got it, thinking “oh, this is really going to block the elements since it sounds like I’m wearing a combo of plastic and aluminum foil” but no. I wore it with a base layer and a fleece pull over on a wet day in low 50’s in Texas and was still cold. I felt like the jacket made me colder. Pretty disappointed but too late to return it. So it will be a REALLY expensive rain jacket for the summer. I hope it works for that. I don’t recommend this product. ... show more
