I had read great reviews of this helmet and always wanted to try a POC option for fit. I ordered two of these, one for my 8 year old daughter (who takes after her father with a big head), and one for myself. This was to replace a Bell Super 2R of hers (Size Small 52-56) and mine (Size Large 58-62). The Super 2R was getting tight on her head, especially on the sides at her temples. Mine fit great as well, but was 10 years old and falling apart. I wanted something that had extended coverage, but was still lightweight and breathable. I'll probably get us dedicated full-face helmets to replace the increasingly hard to find convertible options. Needing a two-helmet solution, I was price sensitive and at MSRP, the pricing of this helmet is ridiculous, but when I saw it listed at $133, I jumped to try it. My daughter's Cularis in Size Medium (55-58) fits her great. Her head shape is more round. Nice deep fit with coverage down to her brow and ears. I got white/white coloration to maximize reflectivity and keep her as cool as possible. Fidlock may be tricky for her, but she'll learn it. On my oval, pinhead, which is smidge less than 62cm ( 7 3/4 hat size), I felt like the Cularis Size Large (58-62) was putting pressure points at odd places on my scalp. No go. Compared to my 2026 Fox Speedframe, the Cularis has a deeper fit and better coverage, as well as I think being more breathable (although I didn't ride with it, so who knows). They are about the same weight. The Cularis scores slightly better in Virginia Tech safety tests. As much as I want to support my local bike shop, finding a POC dealer, with the right size and color, driving across town to try it on, and not wanting to pay full price all made Amazon Prime a better option. ... show more

Quality construction with state of the art technology and it looks great too! I really wanted to like it, but the Medium was a bit thight on the sides and dug into my temples. I was in the middle of the sizes and already tried a large at LBS which was way too large. Wish they made an in-between size! This is obviously a top of the line product, and is indeed very well designed, with all the accessories that make an helmet (slightly) better than products that were around on the market just 4-5 years ago. What did not work for me was the size, and, strangely enough, the air vents. The size medium runs small, it is the first medium I ever owned that does not fit. The specs indicate a smaller then usual 58 cm (more standard is 59), but the pressure point was toward the sides of the temples, so no way to make it fit. The air vents? Too big. Sounds crazy but they do channel a huge amount of air right at the top of your head. Probably great if you ride in hot weather (but wear sun screen!), but were I live (on the North-California coast) a 60F/15C ride was suddenly very cold. A cap of some sort would be mandatory for fall/winter riding. So I sent it back. ... show more
