Some people are saying this pen is rickety and cheap and I understand that. Home made would be better, of course. I lack the skills to make my own and this one is fine. I do think it is sturdy enough for my purposes for the cost. It is reasonably easy to put together. I am not at all handy and I managed this without too much frustration. The edges do not all fit perfectly but certainly well enough for me. I am using it to house teenager chickens in between the time they are out of the brooder and before they go into the big coop. Right now this pen is standing up to some substantial high desert winds and standing stable. I did place a piece of plywood along one side as a windbreak and I have bricks and cinder blocks along the bottom edges as there is no floor on this. I use this as an indoor pen for our Flemish Giant rabbit. It's not the sturdiest thing out of the box but some zip ties at the corners makes it much sturdier and it's really only a concern when you're moving it around. I've made plenty of pens myself and other reviewers are correct, you could make a better quality pen yourself for the same price. However, making your own pen/cage can be a real pain and requires a good amount of time, effort, and tools. ... show more

This coop is good value for the money. Please be aware that you will need to use zip ties to keep it together is the ground is uneven, even the slightest bit of unevenness will cause the run to fall apart. This is especially important for the lid which might fall in otherwise and injure the animal(s). The hardware cloth mesh is excellent. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I bought this because we have too many projects going on to build one ourselves at the moment. It was pretty easy to put together with 2 people. The sides don’t seem to want to stay together and I feel like if a dog wanted to get what’s inside it wouldn’t take much effort. ... show more

    • Two months in and is falling apart.
This is made of cheap wood. It is starting to crack in the middle, as the wood has knots in the middle of it. Cheaply made and expensive for how bad it is. The seller is not responsive, and is ignoring requests to get the item replaced. DO NOT BUY THIS CAGE.
