I had purchased this stock to convert my CA-compliant fixed mag AR to a featureless version. Unfortunately, it did not leave sufficient room above my non-pistol grip to comfortably fit my thumb below the buffer tube, even with the cutout adapter. It also did not provide enough length of pull to be comfortable for me on its own, I suspect even with the optional extension it still would have been a little bit short. It did feel solid and installation was easy, it just didn't work for what I needed. ... show more

    • Best fixed stick made for your money
Being I live in Kalifornicstan , I’ve chosen to go featureless with a few of my rifles and now have 3 of these Magpul Fixed stocks and they’re all Awesome… Far as the sling mounts go my first one , bought yrs ago has metal ones so they work great with the quick release.. The newer ones ,magpul decided the consumer can buy their own is my guess , no big deal to me .. The stock fit like a glove on the milspec buffer tube .. Already Hydro dipped to match the rifle .. Perfect stock , doesn’t weight much and looks great ..You can set any Length of pull you want buy drilling a hole in the buffer tube where you want it ( with a 5 position stock buffer tube) ..super simple and hurts nothing .. cus you’ll never see it .. Need a featureless build this is the stock you want … ... show more

This Magpul stock is exactly what I was looking for to finish a recent project. It looks and fits great on the AR-10 that I purchased it for. It is also quite comfortable. I do plan to purchase the extra padding for it in the near future. I would highly recommend this piece.
