Good backup iron sight. No problem with a 20 inch ar style rifle with a factory style A2 front sight. Shoots true out of the box with no adjustment! Sight has an adjustable aperature for wide and narrow hole. A little pricy for a plastic sight despite me literally not be using this as the main sight. But I for one think it holds its weight as a main rear sight if you really want it to. I've been pretty abusive to it and left this out in a garage that isn't climate controlled (but don't worry about my gun though haha), like many magpul stuff the plastic just works and held up to fades and still feels solid to date. ... show more

These Magpul Mbus248 flip rear sites are made of polymer, are a little pricey if you don't shop around, yet seem very durable. Installs easy, if you pull your charging handle back out of the way for access to your rails. DO NOT overtighten the flat head screw that attaches sight to the rail. Sight is spring loaded, simply push down on front part of sight to raised position & push back down for transport. Sight has two apertures that seperate easily. The large hole is for close range & the small hole is for distance shooting. Great alternative to a square logo (i.e. Bushmaster, Colt) carry handle for $100-$150.00. ... show more

I reduced this from 5 stars to 4 because these may not fit your rifle. Generally speaking these should fit most rifles but they do not fit the Daniel Defense V11. I kept them and put them on another rifle and i should have known but the site does not list it so i hope others will be aware. The sights are well made Magpul always makes a good product and these are no acceptation. They are tough and dependable, easy to install and work well. I highly recommend them ... show more

The sight is a good sight. However, I am a little disappointed. The product is not as pictured. The "peep" sight does not have two apertures as pictured.

Magpul got me into gun customization. They are second to none in respects to mags and sights. This is the budget line if you didn't know. The mbus pro is the bona fide option but this is my backup so I'm comfortable with it. As long as you have a quality optic this will serve you phenomenally as backup. ... show more
