  • Great Antenna Mount
I ordered this to mount a digital antenna to my roof. I am tired of paying $100 a month for basic cable so I canceled my cable. I had a old Tivo recorder and just needed to mount an antenna on my roof. This is a new home with gutters all the way around and there are few spots to mount an antenna. This one worked great. I am getting all 4 of the major networks and PBS and a bunch of other channels too. Really very happy with it. Easy to install. ... show more

  • Saffaely holds your antenna
I needed to mount my big TV antenna outside. I wanted a gable mount, I felt this would solve the potential roof or chimney leaks caused by the other types. The only change I would recommend the manufacturer is to have another set of holes to have the lower piece a little closer together. With my pitch roof, half of the 5 foot mast was below the roof line. Depending on the height of your antenna, you might have to buy a second mast selection. One other thing, the lag bolts were a bit weak, I snapped the head off of one tightening it, so I replaced them all with stronger bolts. All in all, a good antenna mount that I can recommend. ... show more

  • Quality Antenna mount
This is my 2nd one (I have 2 big antennas) My Chimney mount broke and I decided to switch to another eave mount. This is made out of heavy gauge steel. My other one is 3 or 4 years old and is still rock solid despite many strong storms.

  • Cheap bolts break
The supplied bolts broke when ratcheting them in. If they supplied better hardware this would be a 5-star.

  • Needs better fasteners and washers
This kit includes 4 5/16" carriage bolts for the mast clamps, but 4 smaller 1/4" lag screws to mount to the eave. They should include 5/16" or 3/8" lag screws or bolts to mount to the eave. The brackets need to be drilled to accomodate larger diameter screws. The upper mount works poorly with carriage bolts. The mount is folded exactly where the square holes are supposed to engage the carriage bolt heads, so there is very little engagement when tightening. They should include a U-bolt as they do with their wall mount. And replace the flat metal clamp with a nest to prevent mast rotation instead of requiring you to drill a hole and use a screw into the mast. I am currently looking for their U-bolt kit which includes these parts. For the lower mount, Channel Master needs to include 2 more nuts so that the carriage bolts can be cinched tight to the L channels to make it more rigid. Again, if you add the Channel Master U-bolt kit, you'll end up with 2 extra nuts that can be used for this purpose. Lastly, a flat washer and lock washer needs to be included for each nut. 4 stars for the heavy duty metal brackets and cadmium finish. It would be 5 stars with the above improvements. ... show more

  • Good quality brace
Very strong brace, works great so that you don’t have to put holes in your roof for an antenna.

  • Very sturdy, easy to install and solid
Very pleased with this item. It worked perfectly - and seems very sturdy. Installed about a month ago - using a 7' mast. Antenna is rock-solid and has withstood 60mph winds already, with no issues. We are getting great OTA reception using a high-def antenna. It does a bit of fiddlings, as others have stated, to figure out how to put it together, but it's fairly simple to figure out.. Took about an hour, start to finish to get it installed - took longer to run the coax down the antenna, tucked into the overhang of the house and down the corner bead, along the foundation and into a crawlspace vent, then drag it under the house and up into the living space. Still much cheaper than cable! ... show more

  • Works well and has a great fit
Install was easy. it is a two piece lower brace and a one piece upper brace with mast clamps. I really do not see the need for instructions at is is very simplistic. One thing to note if you not an experienced installer. If you using a swedged mast (IE tapers at the bottom) the swedge need to point outward for proper alignment. If it is house facing it will make the mast lean outward at the top. ... show more
