  • can't beat the quality
Color: Gray
Supreme quality, fit and finish. Completely transformed my Ruger 10/22 into a different looking weapon and much more comfortable to shoot. For the price a Magpul stock can't be beat.

  • The grip is awesome!
Color: Black
Most after market stocks have too thick of a grip making you feel like you don’t have control of the gun. This grip is perfect and makes your 10/22 feel light, quick, and handy like it’s supposed to be

  • Very pleased with this stock
Color: Black
This is an absolute quality product from Magpul. Ergonomic and very sturdy. It fits me perfect and it is very simple to change the length of pull on this system. This stock for a Ruger 10 22 so I could add a bull target barrel and optics and it totally fits the bill. I will be buying another one so I can modify my kids rifle as well ... show more

  • Best Upgrade I have made as of yet
Color: Black
I'm new to the 10/22 game, so I thought it would be fun to make some upgrades. Once I added this, my ruger felt like I had invested much more. I will say, this is one of those products you have to shop around for. I have seen it cheaper on other sites, but I considerding I know how Amazons shipping works. Paying a little more was worth it. Keep in mind, the out-of-the-box cheek rest are not a big deal and it would have been nice to have another other option (for free), but for smaller frame users it might work. I had to buy the optional cheek rest, but lucky the largest one was a fit for me. So I didn't have to buy them to test them out. I would suggest this if you want something simple. It is a major update over the standared stock. I am thinking of building a 10/22. I think this might be my starting point. ... show more

  • This doesn't seem like much, but it was the room I needed ...
Color: Flat Dark Earth
Two things: 1. You need the SGA cheek riser if you shoot with a scope. The HIGH cheek riser comes with both the Medium and the High cheek risers. (You already have the LOW riser, that's what comes with the stock) The $64,000 question for most people is which riser they need for their scope height. My rifle is setup with the scope fairly high to allow my head to be as vertical as possible for offhand shooting, but the rifle is used some for CMP Rimfire Sporter so it has to be shootable in all three positions. My setup is: scope: Nikon Prostaff Target EFR 3-9x40 AO in Weaver Grand Slam (high) rings I tried the High Cheek riser first and shot the rifle this way for about a month. This was just about right height-wise, but I have full cheeks and if I bring my head down tight on the riser my cheek padding was just thick enough to push my eye off center. I found myself tilting my head to get my eye centered in the reticule to keep from canting the rifle. The Medium riser is about a 1/4" shorter than the High riser. This doesn't seem like much, but it was the room I needed to get a very consistent cheek weld without pushing my eye off center. If you find that little bit of room drops your eye below center, you can always add a thin pad to the riser but you are out of luck if the riser is too tall. A person with a thinner face would probably prefer the High riser with my setup. If you are using Medium scope rings, you would probably want the Medium cheek riser. 2. Why I gave it four stars: (the actual review for this stock) This is a great stock for the money. This stock is legal for CMP Rimfire Sporter competition where you cannot use a thumbhole stock or an adjustable cheek riser. However, this stock is legal because once you put the spacers and cheek riser in, the rifle is not modified again after it has been checked. This is also my Appleseed rifle, so I needed a sling mount. (more about that, below) The only reason I don't give it four stars is the grip angle. I find it somewhat maddening in actual use. The grip angle is comfortable, but in offhand shooting the angle of the grip makes your hand want to slide down and rearward. Were it not for the lip at the base of the grip your hand would actually move. I find myself using a lot more grip force in my right hand than I would like, just to keep the rifle and my hand in place for a consistent hold. WHY ON EARTH Magpul did not use a vertical grip angle like a precision rifle stock is beyond me. This stock would be incredible if they had. The stock material is very sturdy. I will do some stippling on the grip face to address the hand sliding issue, because the stock is good enough that I want to use it. I really like this stock- just pointing out that the grip angle is... "arbitrary", to be kind to Magpul. The cheek riser kit should have come withe the rifle, but it's $15 so not a real gripe. The stock should also have come with a forward sling swivel mount. I know Magpul wants you to buy their quick release doobie for $40, but I used a $4 screw in sling swivel stud and it works just fine. If you shoot with a GI Web sling, the rear hook clips in nicely to the integral side sling mount on the buttstock. Magpul also wants to sell you additional QR sling mount cups, which should have come with the stock. Still, no biggie. ... show more

  • This is one of the best stocks for a Ruger 10/22
Color: Flat Dark Earth
My wife and I teach rifle marksmanship. We each have Ruger 10/22 Rifles set up for ourselves. We each have this stock as it is very easily customized to fit each one of us. It is a vast improvement over other stocks. It works with both normal and bull barrel profiles. It works for taller shooters and shorter shooters. it works really well. ... show more

  • Looks Great, Quick Install, Great Groupings
Color: Flat Dark Earth
The only reason for not giving this a 5 star rating is that it for some reason it had trouble accepting a BRN-22 receiver without some light sanding. I also had some trouble with it spinning the safety switch during receiver install, which was a pain to fix. Overall though, it looks good, it's a great stable platform, it's comfortable, and shoots well. It's easy to switch between a stock Ruger barrel and something like an X-Ring barrel by just flipping a little doodad over. Barrel is height adjustable which is also a nice feature. Good buy. ... show more
