The grill is made of high-quality materials and clean and solid construction. This will last for years with proper care. Follow the instructions, don't overheat the grill by preheating it like a BBQ or you will change the stainless steel composition. Fold-out legs are strong and sturdy. The handle is strong and lets you carry the grill easily. I added the rod holder mount and shelf, well worth the additional cost. This Grill is being used on our pontoon boat along with the pedestal mount, which by the way was very easy to install. When we traded in our old pontoon boat for a new one we had a Coleman grill that also was installed with a pedestal mount. You really couldn't grill anything more than hot dogs or brats on it because it was pretty weak in the flame department, but it was ok. This grill is much better at getting the heat to the grill itself. We had no problems cooking ribeyes on here in about 7-10 mph winds, was no problem. It looks great and if we decide to go inland to a campground somewhere it comes right off of the pedestal and fold out the legs with no issues at all. We really love this grill and with all the accessories that we bought for it are very nice and fit the grill really well! It was for sure worth the extra money for this! ... show more

Very nice grill out of the box! Used it first time on the boat lunch, dinner then next day breakfast and lunch, brought it home to clean and now it looks like I've used it 100 times. Does not clean well. Everything has burnt to the inside and will not scrub off. I've tried many cleaners and no luck. It still performs beautifully but just wish it still had that shine because it's a head turner in the bays everyone wants to see it. ... show more

.......... what can i say... CATCH AND FILET!! I love having this on my boat! It set up easily and I bought the rod mount holder for it. We grilled kabobs while we were island hopping and had a great time! It heats up very fast and cleans/stores easily. The lid does lock down the the propane tank is portable and easily attaches/detaches for safe storage. It has held up very well since I purchased several months ago! It is all high qualitu stainles steel and it is definitely a quality product! I must also mention i live in FL so this was on a SALT WATER boat and it is holding up great! No rust so far and it has been several months! I would say the biggest pros are: 1) IT IS A GRILL ON AT BOAT 2) stores nicely and cleans up easily 3) high quality definitely resists rust Cons: NONE :) Enjoy! ... show more

    • Amazing quality for a boat grill
This Magma boat grill is awesome. It's extremely well made and solid. After watching many videos on how the Magma grills work compared to other brands we decided to go with the more expensive grill and we're very glad we did. The stainless steel is a beautiful finish and looks really nice we've had many compliments on it already. The pressure regulator on the side is nice as the cheaper models of grills didn't have that option. The surface area is quite large for a very small and compact grill. We easily cook a dozen hot dogs on the boat. We bought the attachment set to hook it to the side of our pontoon boat and it makes for an easy and fast way to have our grill ready to go. The overall construction of the grill seems decent, simple and as few parts as possible to clean. Magma is completely lacking on quality control, however. My grill arrived with some strange staining spots on it that appear to be from the production process - not to big a deal but at $200 I expect a the grill to be in brand new condition. The interior was clean so it was definitely not used, and the spots were on the outside stainless, possibly from machine oil/grease. I was able to use metal polish to get them off. With this grill, I purchased the levelock rod mount and had some issues with that as well. First off, the hardware included with the grill was defective (mis-shaped metal on the bolt heads) for some reason. The fact they sent that to me shows no one looks at what they're putting in the bags. Again, for the money - I expect everything to be in order. In addition, the levelock mount failed to do it's job as a mount because it would not lock after a few uses, and I had to exchange it for a replacement through amazon since Magma customer service deleted my first reply to their email without even reading it (see attached image). Right now I'm regretting not going with a Coleman, Char Broil, or Weber compact and adapting it to marine use. I try to buy made in the USA, but when our own people pull this kind of stuff I smile at giving my business to overseas manufacturers. ... show more
