The very first day of installing the mesh it fell halfway down.the tape holding it up was useless.Within a week the mesh started separating from the edging that supposedly sealed the edges.I am totally disappointed in this product. Will not recommend it to anyone.

  • works great
Color: White
I use this for 1 year for my green house and it was perfect for what I wanted it for. Material is very nice and strong. Easy to put up all by myself. Great for the price of it. I would buy it again,

  • There are better ones out there, but this is an acceptable product for the price
Color: Black
The mesh is not real strong. I've had 3 of these, so have my kids, and the mesh is always ripping after about 6 months. They could upgrade their materials. My neighbors have a different one that is better made, but probably costs more. That's ok if it lasts longer before becoming tattered. Easy to install and does keep the bugs out til it starts shredding. Best if you don't have a lot of in and out traffic, wearing on it. ... show more

  • Terrible quality compared to random no-name brand
Color: Black
I think this is the original brand but I tried an off brand one before and that one was much better! The old one I had had a thicker screen and stronger magnets. It’s for a metal door frame so I can only use the tape, not the thumb tacks. The other one worked pretty well for nearly two years before the tape stopped holding well. I had higher hopes for this one, even though it was cheaper, I thought it was “brand name” so maybe it would be better somehow, and maybe since it’s thinner/lighter the tape will hold better. No way. First of all the magnets don’t hold well AT ALL and neither does the tape. It was falling down the same day I put it up. I’ve been continuing to use it for over a week now, constantly fixing it, but it’s horrible. 9 times out of 10 the magnets don’t go back together after walking through and really it only takes a stiff breeze to blow them open. It’s constantly falling down in some spots too because of the poor tape. I’m just going to re-order the other one. ... show more

  • Overall I'm happy! I ordered a second for my backdoor, however You get what you pay for!
Color: Black
I ordered this for my front door, I like to regularly leave my doors open for hours for fresh air and I needed something to keep the bugs out. I am in a rental and wanted a option that was cheap, easy to install and was not permanent. This met all of those needs. It took about 5 minutes total for 2 people to install, that included nailing in the little tack/nails they give you. I waited about a week to see how well it worked before I bought my second one. My door opens in, so I mounted it on the outside door frame per the instructions. Going out has no problems, the magnets open very easily and click closed behind you. Coming in, when the magnets swing back to connect, they get caught and stick to the metal door, threshold, and other metal parts of the door handle assembly. We have kind of gotten used to just using our hands or our feet to knock them off as we come in so they connect back together. However, sometimes we would forget and half the screen would be open which let in tons of bugs, So keep that in mind if your installing this near metal, the magnets are pretty powerful! We spend a lot of time going in and out so I was surprised that it held up after the first day, some of the adhesive on the velcro strips separated from the wall (from the side that connects to the door frame) but that wasn't an issue really because I also used the tack/nails that come with it, which I would absolutely recommend using. The velcro strips are pretty strong, if you try to pull them apart they are really hard to separate, it will just come off from the doorframe. I kind of find them pointless, and I think you could just use the tack/nails and it would be fine. Knowing all of this I still ordered a second one for my back door. It is wood but has a metal kick plate so I expected similar annoyances. When my second screen arrived there was a small hole in the mesh in the top of one of the panels, I still decided to keep the product. After I installed it I noticed the stitching in the middle seam where the magnets connect was crooked, this caused large gaps in between the magnets and it left a large gap at the very bottom. We watched several bugs find their way in thru these gaps. Still we decided to keep it, because it only let a few in and that was better than nothing, I'd say it kept about 80% out. After about 2-3 days I noticed several threads started coming loose from the middle the seem. If felt like spiderwebs every time we would pass thru it. I trimmed them up and made sure no more would come loose, it would be fine for a few uses then we found more threads, I realized the whole seam was unraveling (like a knit sweater would) and keeping them trimmed up was doing nothing. I decided to return the second screen for a replacement. I haven't gotten my replacement yet, but it should be here within the week. Prime made the exchange very simple. I am hoping it will be like my first screen. I like to leave my doors open for fresh air throughout the year, more so in spring and summer, and still but less in fall and winter, I hope it will last at least through summer but have a feeling i'll need to replace it in fall. Highly recommend it if your a renter, when I took down the second screen to send it back, the tack/nails did leave very SMALL holes, however they are hardly noticeable and a much better option than screws from a traditional screen door. Sadly we don't get to have any pets in our rental but I'm looking forward to my father in law coming to visit to see how his dog reacts to it, I have a feeling shes not going to like using it haha. I think you absolutely get what you pay for, its a cheap simple fix to keep the bugs out, and even with the little quirks I'd say it works and overall we are happy. I really wanted to love this product and give it a 5 star after the first day but after the issues with the second screen I just couldn't. Overall we are happy! ... show more

  • Pleasantly surprised at how well this works!
Color: Black
I needed a way to let the dogs move between the screened-in porch and the deck while keeping birds from flying into the porch and getting "stuck", unable to find the open door. I took a risk on this product because it was relatively inexpensive. My expectations were low, but it's turned out great. The adhesive has held all spring and summer and is showing no signs of coming off. The magnets auto-magically snick together satisfyingly after I pass through or the dogs do. Speaking of which, we have two Great Danes, and I didn't use the lowest set of adhesives, so that they'd have a bit more slack. (I was concerned about them tearing it right off otherwise.) It took them a few minutes to build up the courage to nose open the screen, but now, they pass through without a thought. One of them goes through the magnetic opening, and it snicks shut behind him. The other hits a panel and walks right through, letting it lift to allow her to pass--so I'm glad I left those bottom adhesive strips off. Maybe it would make her go through like she's supposed to, or maybe she'd rip it down. It works fine without the lower adhesives though and is holding up great. We also haven't had a single bird get into the porch since putting these up! ... show more

  • Magic Mesh
Color: Black
There needs to be more tacks included to help secure the mesh to the door frame/jamb. It has Velco that works OK but not great and the tacks that are supplied are definitely needed to reinforce the hold. Once installed, the opening isn't uniform, it's tight at the top. This makes it difficult to walk through if you are having to hold/carry anything. You can get through but you have to rethink how you are doing so with what is in your hands. ... show more

  • Decent but not perfect
Color: Black
Have had it up for maybe a month now. It’s working fine for us, not gonna keep bugs out but that’s fine. Biggest issue if the edges fraying and strings going everywhere, not sure it’s gonna last much longer, the stitching seems subpar
