  • A must-have for introducing cats!
Size: White Fits Door Opening Size Up to 30''x ...
You need this if you're introducing cats! I bought this to use during the visual introduction stage of introducing my resident 3-year-old cat to a 5-month-old newcomer. It worked amazingly well. They could see each other and get desensitized and stay safe on opposite sides on the screen. In the past with foster cats, I would use baby gates stacked on top of each other with a sheet awkwardly pinned on top. The cats could climb these, though, and I had to take everything down when I needed to leave the room and then stack them back up again. It was a pain and also didn't work; my resident never accepted foster cats. I would let her see them too soon and it wasn't successful. I knew I had to try something different this time as I adopted this kitten so it had to work! I didn't let the cats see each other at all for the first 3 days, then started with the door totally open with this screen. My resident cat growled and hissed whenever they were close by the screen but was calm a few feet away, just watching the newcomer. I closed the door only a couple times briefly if my resident was growling a lot, then would open it back up. After a couple days, they were trying to play by the screen. I let the newcomer out on day 6-7 after adoption and everything has been great since. The screen was easy to put up as one person alone. I didn't use any of the tacks in installation, just the tape. Neither cat tried to climb the screen, but it held fine with the tape when both would stand up on their hind legs against it (resident is 9 lbs, kitten is 5 lbs). With carpet, I also couldn't tape it to the floor, so I just used a dumbbell and a heavy book and that was fine to hold it in place. Taking it down, it did take small spots of paint off the painted trim but I had other areas to touch up anyway. I also didn't follow their suggestion of heating it up first—I just went straight to peeling it. Overall, I'd highly recommend this for cat introductions or foster cat rooms. The convenience of being able to just unzip to come and go and still close the door when needed was fantastic, and it helped the cats get used to each other in a safe way. ... show more

  • i never review anything, this net is perfect for cat intros!!!!
Size: White Fits Door Opening Size Up to 36''x ...
i literally never leave reviews—never ever. i think this is my first review in almost ten years on anything, but this net is legitimately so effective that i needed to let OTHER cat owners know that it’s really good!!!! i get really nervous about the cat introduction phase, and this thing took away so much guesswork as to whether or not they’re making progress on getting along. i’m five days in as of writing this and pearl (kitten) is already feeling safe enough to spend most of the day outside, and she’s getting along pretty well with my resident cats (very well considering the timeline tbh!) it withstood some clawing, the adhesive stays pretty put, and the zippers are actually super easy, no twisting or tangling or bending the door-opening when trying to zip/unzip. i also use a chip clip to keep it open in the day so kitty can get back to her ‘home base’ (and other cats can check out her space and her used to her smell too). i would recommend hammering down the first 10 or so inches at the base on both sides, as your cats will likely be trying to push their little cat faces through (and will succeed with enough force). easy install and easy repair too, they send lots of extra velcro. all in all a great product and we’re gonna leave it up since it’s just very practical :) perfect!!! ... show more

  • Works ok just needs better mounts
Size: White Fits Door Opening Size Up to 32''x ...
It was as described! However the mounts do not stay on the wall at all, with a small amount of pressure it falls down. The cats could not get through, the dog just knocked it off the wall. It was the correct size, and looked great, with easy closure. It was easy to install just wished it would be more sturdy. ... show more

  • Surprisingly sturdy!
Size: White Fits Door Opening Size Up to 32''x ...
I bought this because we recently moved & our two cats have been having behavioral issues with each other. It's extremely hot out so closing the bedroom door to separate them was not an option since our AC is in another room. My cats can and will jump over the highest baby gate, & the full door ones are pricey. First off, do not forget to clean the floor the tape is going on. I cleaned the doorframe but not the floor, & the adhesive stayed everywhere but the floor. They do give you extra thankfully! Once cleaned, it has not lifted & we regularly zip & unzip it. I can feel it pull a bit when I pull the bottom zipper, so I do think it will give out eventually. I still have extra tape left whenever that happens thankfully! One of our cats is older, the other is a young adult. Both have lots of energy but don't put much effort in breaking out so it works great for us. I imagine a more creative, persistent cat could get through this but thankfully not ours. They put their full weight on it and it hasn't pulled off the door frame yet. I havent had zipper issues, but when the zipper is closed it is closed at the top, so the cat has no access to it at all. I'm very short and was able to install this easily on my own, though I'm sure it would've been easier if I waited & got a second pair of hands. The application isn't perfect but it doesn't need to be thankfully. Overall, pretty quality & gets the job done. If you're doing cat introducions, this would be great for the phase where they are allowed to see one another but can't share a room :) ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY THIS. ZIPPER QUALITY IS TERRIBLE.
Size: White Fits Door Opening Size Up to 36''x ...
If I could give zero stars I would. We’ve been trying to integrate 2 cats into a single household, one of them is more interested and aggressive than the other, and he tends to be a lot more vocal and paws at closed doors, especially when he knows the other cat is on the other side. We bought this thinking it would be a safe way to allow the cats to see eachother at a controlled pace without them having any physical interaction. Initially, it seemed like it would work, the aggressive one tried biting at the velcro, pawing at it, pushing on it, and it seemed to hold up. However the quality of the zipper is terrible; somehow he pushed hard enough that the end of the zipper came apart which allowed him to push through the bottom. By the time we realized the cats had already seen eachother… I’ll leave you to imagine the chaos that ensued. Now they’re both traumatized, the smaller and more cautious one even more so, and it feels like we’re worse off than we started. Added to all that, I feel like a terrible pet parent for even thinking this would work and trusting that the product would hold up as it claimed. The door frame attachment part seemed to hold up, but there needs to be a higher quality zipper to stand up to any pet. Also, it looks like the thread holding the zipper in place is coming apart, which could’ve easily resulted in the same problem we experienced earlier. If both your animals are more timid and shy, then this MIGHT work for you, but if any one of them is overly eager and likes to test the bounds, then DO NOT get this, especially if you’re trying to keep animals apart for their safety. Either way, I do not recommend this product and wish I never even purchased it. ... show more

  • Fine product, might get a used one.
Size: White Fits Door Opening Size Up to 32''x ...
This is pretty handy for introducing cats and exchanging scent. I don't think the adhesive will hold up to cats trying to climb but I'm not having that problem. They give you extra carpet tacks, which is great because they're flimsy. You'll eventually get some to work. Only major gripe I have is a bought a second one and it came very clearly used. The adhesive was dirty. It was quite literally stapled back together. It didn't come with tacks. The used adhesive did not stick and it did not come with more. Might be a little big on some. Material is fine. It is what you'd expect from this price point. ... show more

  • worked like a charm
Size: White Fits Door Opening Size Up to 32''x ...
i have bought two of these now. there is a curtain door to our HVAC system i didn’t want the kitties in, as well as when we first brought home a new kitten, the cats could meet each other through this. these are sturdy, easy to set up on any door, and keep cats where they need to be or safely out of where they don’t. ... show more

  • Zipper stitching, not secure.
Size: White Fits Door Opening Size Up to 32''x ...
This was working pretty well, the mesh itself was holding up fantastic.. However, the stitching for the zipper has given way on one of the corners. This appears to be a production defect. I was lucky I found it before it got worse. I’ve elected to just sew it back up myself. But keep an eye on the zipper if you get this. ... show more
