We are using this to build Gunpla (aka Gundam models). For $9, you can't beat the price for a nice starter set! The set comes in a case (which is great), but it could be a bit bigger...it is very hard to get everything back in and I seriously doubt it is waterproof as claimed. The set contains tweezers, crafting knife w/safety cover, 4 replacement blades in a case, a file w/case, tweezers with safety cover, 4 sanding blocks, a clear ruler, and flush cut snips w/safety cover. The snips are nice and work well. The crafting knife is better for smaller hands. My husband has larger hands and wasn't fond of using it. My son likes it just fine. It is somewhat light, but works well enough. The rest of the tools haven't gotten as much use but appear to be adequate for the task of model building. Overall a great set for a plastic crafter. PROS Great cost effective set for beginner Snips are nice and have held up well CONS Case is on the small side, patience is required to get everything back in.

Husband is a self described nerd and likes working on models from time to time. I think it soothes him when stuff is going crazy. He has to really talk himself into doing it though since it seems frivolous to him - but I encourage him to go for it and getting this set for him was my way of letting him know I support him nerding out. And he loves it! He said he used almost every tool in this kit working on this model: Star Wars BB-8 3D Wood Puzzle & Model Figure Kit (81 Pcs) And it was all for less than $9! What a great bargain.

I didn’t have any particular project going on that needed this kit but I’m always needing tweezers, or snippers or an exact knife for one thing or another. Having this kit close by my crafting area just made sense. I have tools like this scattered around and can never find what I need. I just put this kit on my art cart so I have it close. No more running to the big toolbox to find a file or an exacto knife. It’s right here. We also own a 3D printer that we use once in a while and I can see how this will be handy for the little game figures we print out too. Filing and sanding the edges for a cleaner look.

Good basic beginner's modeling tool kit. Sprue cutters are good quality for a basic cutter that would get the job done. The file is finer than some files I've had with the coating (which others can be too coarse). The tweezers have a very fine point so could be a little harder to hold a piece. I would probably cut the sanding bars in half lengthwise as they are a little too wide for most things I work with. It is a standard exacto knife, which they call an engraver. Would hold standard exacto blades one the six you start with wear out. I would recommend this kit to anyone getting into modeling or as a backup.

Really useful kit! Perfect for starting out. I needed a few different tools for doll diy’s. It comes in a nice little kit that’s easy to carry around and store. The tools are solid and you get a good amount.
