I was expecting a mist spray, because it says spray. buts its more like mousse , thick foam" that sprays out. Smells nice, works good! Holds well! Not sticky or tacky in my hair. (I do not like to feel any product in my hair , so i normally go without, but this very is nice, and i can run my finger or brush through my hair nicely, without it pulling or sticking, or tugging.
