Once the mail finally straightened out the mess they made in delivery the machine it’s self is very good. I usually used singer but was interested in this one for a while. I am still learning it but so far It is doing ok. Would rather it was white because my eyes are not so great.

It only lasted eleven months. It stopped working in the middle of a project. The needle will not move

    • Metal housing
This Janome machine is not bad for the price. It has a metal housing, although the interior gears are plastic. It is quieter than the Singer Heavy Duty, but not near as quiet as the Janome Skyline S6. It is a simple machine for mid-range sewing. It does not do well with thick materials. Two to four layers of denim does not move well at all, even with a denim needle. It will not feed. Four to six layers of cotton do fine, but feeds slow and bunches the seam. If you want a Janome, I would look at the more expensive machines. The Skyline line is great, the thread path is a bit problematic, but a better machine overall. ... show more

This machine was broken when it arrived. Had to return. Very disappoints as my other Jamun like this one was perfect.

I bought this machine for my husband, he really likes it. He makes leather products. Just be sure to read instructions FIRST!! 😀
