We are commited to recycling, but limited space allowed room for only a small trash can for recyclables, in addition to our large covered trash can. This dual section trash can provides the perfect solution. The width fits perfectly against the depth of an end cabinet and it provides plenty of room for trash and recycling. I was concerned the recycling section might be too small, but it's not. It holds lots of bottles, cans and flattened packaging. The foot pedals work well for opening the soft-close lids on each section. It wipes clean easily with a damp, microfiber cloth. Best of all, it's a very attractive unit that I'm proud to display in my kitchen. One caution, the tops are not heavy-duty and thick. I imagine they could be dented or scratched, if abused. We are 2 adults, so it's not an issue, but it might be if you have young or careless family members. I cannot say enough about this trash and recycle bin as well as the seller. The trash bin itself is very nice. It’s eye appealing it works perfectly. The design is wonderful. It’s heavy. It’s well-made and I definitely will be buying another one in the future. If not for myself then as a gift. The first one we received had a large dent on the left side where the recycle side is. The packaging was damaged at time of delivery. The packaging was amazing. I truly do not understand how this got dented, but like I said the packaging was damaged. We initiated a return and followed all the steps. And the seller replied within hours. I was offered several choices on how I wanted to handle the return. One of them was a complete refund with return of the item. The second choice was they would ship a brand new item to me at no cost and I could keep the damaged product. That kind of service is incredible. This is a higher end trash bin. I would not hesitate to buy another one and I would not hesitate to buy from this seller.
