Sure there are more expensive brands, just like a Viking stove, but I can't shell out a 7 digit figure for a stove either. We had some old lodge equipment that we lost in a fire, so when it came time to replace it, we bought the same stuff. Sure it'll take a while to get that seasoning back, but the fact that you can use this in the oven, on the stove, grill, charcoal, fire, fire wood Microwave (not really you can't use metal in the microwave). If you know how to use cast iron cookware, and maintain it, this stuff is nice. It's heavy duty, black, and solid. If your throwing these, or using them to hold up your car, welp I can't help that. Do not soak in water (rinsing them is ok) but you need to dry them, heat them, and oil them immediately after use. Buy one of those stainless "chainmail" style scrubs to clean it, it's worth it. If you can't deal with anything other than non stick, don't buy this. If you want to make biscuits and gravy, or cornbread over a wood fire, buy it. Think it even came with a silicone handle, because you only pick up cast iron once by the handle to realize how well it transfers heat. In my reviews most of them are highly rated as I look for what I need, prior to buying, and are based on that fact (price/requirement/use). I've not had to contact the seller for any issues or claims, however would not hesitate to purchase this product, or from this seller again. ... show more

    • Fantastic - non stick and won’t rust if you take care of it
So far so good. Cooked 3 steaks on it and has been fantastic. Made sure to season it more than it already was, and haven’t had issues with food sticking. Make sure to dry the pan after each use and keep it seasoned, and you’ll be good! Those reviews complaining about rust really are unfair. CLEARLY those folks don’t take care of their pan properly. They probably let it soak in water, put in dishwasher, etc … you can’t do that. The science of cast iron doesn’t lie. ... show more

    • Excellent Iron Skillet, Made in the USA
You can not find a better iron skillet. High end quality and it is pre-seasoned at the factory. This will save you a lot of effort going through the seasoning process yourself. Be sure to follow the instructions for cleaning the skillet. They are great for pan frying steaks!

    • Needs a second silicone grip
This could benefit from a second silicone grip to grab the extra hand hold. Otherwise, it’s a bit heavy to lift by the grip alone… even worse once you add the extra weight of the food. It does work well with our induction stove top.
