My preferred vivid dye is no longer available so I went on a search for something new. I've been using the same brand of dye for years now, and my hair is used to the formula. Having to change is hard as you never know how it will hold. I'm so pleased that this is staying in my hair.. I have dark brown hair and I bleach it before adding the vivid dye. I saturated my hair and let it sit for a few hours under a shower cap (to keep moisture and heat in). When i removed the cap there was a lot less transfer of dye to the shower cap than I expected. It really dried down on my hair, staining it--exactly what a good dye will do. Does it transfer? Yes, my pillow case has a purple stain where i sleep--but that is the only place I've noticed a transfer. a place where I lay my head for 8+ hours at a time, daily. I've no transfer on my clothes or towels. the color is vibrant and gives good coverage--I put it over my faded out purple. I'm excited to see what this formula fades to. I think it will fade more pink, but we shall see. it's been more than two weeks since I dyed my hair and it still looks solid. The jar is a good size, so I'll get several uses out of it--I'm used to 2 oz tubes, so while more expensive, you're buying 3 to 4 uses.

I have 1 year grown out ~recession blonde~ balayage highlights and darker blonde natural roots that I am having a hard time accepting lol so I got bored and tried this and the Juicy (fuschia hot pink) color turned out so great on my hair. I've gotten tons of compliments and no one can believe I did it at home without bleaching first. I leave it on for at least 1-2 hours before rinsing. Smells amazing and does not damage hair! If you have virgin hair it will wash out a bit quicker, on my highlighted ends it definitely soaked up and lasted longer. Pics of my hair before, right after rinsing and air drying, and 2 months out from first use. I wash 1-2 times per week with a nice shampoo (Pureology hydrate) and it seems to make it last much longer. It fades nicely into a lighter softer pink over time. It may stain you counter so best to put down some newspaper. didn't stain my white shower/tub but I kept some bleach spray handy just in case, I'm sure other showers may differ. I purchased a cheap bowl and brush and some pink gloves and disposable hai plastic caps to put over while letting it process on my head.

I cannot recommend this product enough! I’ve been to be a Manic Panic user for over 10 years, and after my shade wasn’t available anymore I started exploring different brands and was losing hope. I finally tried this one and I am never using anything else. First of all, I have almost waist length hair, and a lot of it. One jar is enough for me because the consistency is sooo pigmented. A little goes a long way. I like my color darker so I have to retouch it every two weeks, but sometimes I don’t feel like it and just letnit fade out. It fades to a bright color and it still looks great! When my roots are longer, I apply the dye to them as well and it actually catches my grays! Also, everything that gets dirty during the dyeing process, comes right off on the first shower. It’s really an amazing formula and product. I hope they come up with more darker shades for us corporate girlies! I don’t think I need to say more, try it out and you will be surprised! Highly recommend.

I got “Chocolate Cherry” and “Bubblegum Rosè” and mixed the two to get this! I didn’t lighten my hair, it’s usually a dark blonde/light brown and it’s now a bright magenta with those two colors! It’s been about 2 weeks since I initially dyed it and it’s definitely faded, but not terribly. I love how it turned out! The first photo is right after I dyed it, the second photo is about 2 weeks after, and the third photo is my hair before dye. I do wish there was a shade slightly lighter than “Chocolate Cherry” but I still like it!

I’ve tried so many vivid hair dyes over the years, and this one stands out in the best ways. First off, the color payoff is incredible. It’s super bright, bold, and truly lives up to the “unicorn” name. After rinsing, the color stays vibrant wash after wash instead of fading right away like so many others. What really surprised me is how gentle it feels. My hair doesn’t feel fried, dry, or brittle afterward. Instead, it actually feels soft and conditioned, which makes a huge difference if you dye often. The dye itself has a creamy texture that’s easy to apply evenly, and it smells surprisingly nice too, no harsh chemical scent that makes your eyes water. The shade range is also amazing. Whether you’re going for pastel, neon, or deep jewel tones, there’s something that fits. It’s fun to experiment with mixing shades, too, and they blend beautifully for custom looks. Color: Peri Dust (Periwinkle)
I have used so many unicorn hair lime crime products. I have used them on bleached hair and brown hair. I wanted to try Peri dust to see if it would cover grays. I do not have any bleach in my hair right now. And it did turn the grays and a little bit of the front where my hair is naturally lighter to a very light dusty blue. It's hard to see in the photos but out in the sunlight there is a blue tint. It is exactly what I was looking for but if you are looking for full coverage without bleached hair this may not be the product for you. I would go with one of their darker and more pigmented shades as they work great on brown hair that is not bleached.

I LOVE how the color turned out on my hair and it lasts a really long time and fades to a nice lighter pink. I only needed 1 jar for my length of hair. However, the smell is SO bad. It's an overwhelming perfume smell that gave me an instant migraine. Due to this, I will stick with Lunar Tides instead because it has a faint plain lotion smell that doesn't give me a headache and it lasts the same amount of time. If you want something that doesn't last as long then get Arctic Fox instead and it has the best grape smell.
