NEW FAVORITE BRAND! I love changing my hair color “almost as often as you change clothes” as my grandma likes to say. In general I change fantasy colors every 3-4 weeks max and the constant color removing and needing to rebleach certain spots can absolutely fry my hair… this brand lifted out so easily! Not from standard washing your hair but when it’s time to change colors it is no problem. I purchased 3 colors so far, I used the sour candy pink first and I think it would have looked stunning had I been willing to bleach my hair one more time to get it to a level 9-10 but I didn’t, I ordered bubblegum pink to apply over it and loved it it was way more vibrant and bright on my not perfectly bleached hair (probably a level 7-8) and did the other half of my head with the pony purple and it was stunning as well. I do think sour candy didn’t work well for me due to my own incompetence so no hate on them, my friend who had lighter hair used what I had left and it worked perfectly for her. I removed half of the dye at a time for two reasons 1)I had a split dye so each half of my head we’re completely different colors so I assumed they would need different amounts of time. 2) the color was lifting so quickly that I couldn’t get my whole head done evenly. I did half of it with a box of color oops and was shocked at how fast it lifted out and how evenly as well. The pony purple was still extremely vibrant when doing this (washed maybe 4-5 times leading up to color removal) and it took one round of color oops and even removed all of it before the time listed on the box, I left it on to the listed time anyways to make sure it was all out and on the bubblegum pink I ran out of color oops so o decided to remove it with a round of bleach. I used 20vol bleach mixed as instructed by the bleach brand and it only had to be left on for 15ish minutes for it to fully remove the pink. The colors held up well with my normal hair wash routine with color safe products, pretty comparable to other brands I’ve used, nothing phenomenal with it vibrancy life in my opinion but that works fine for me because I like to switch up colors so often. It lifted out so flawlessly with one round of remover that I’m currently, confidently rocking blonde because of how well it all came out. It smelled great and didn’t damage my hair. All in all to summarize… if you change colors often this brand is game changing for hair health but if you stick to pink all the time for example than it might not stay vibrant as long as you might like but isn’t too quick to come out with standard washing. ... show more

I color my hair green 💚 every year for my favorite holiday & usually from end of Feb til washes by end of March. I've tried many brands (Colorista, Splat (not for me), Mondo, Arctic Fox..) always have to repeat application (depending on how often one washes their hair... I'm every 3 days) no biggie I know it's gonna happen. But some of these a lot of the color washed out each time. This one tho.... I will be buying more colors from this brand. Looooove it!!! I have really long hair & per the instructions I should have used 2 jars but only used about a quarter of it & it covered beautifully. The color is absolutely stunning I have received more compliments this year than I have ever gotten all together. Everywhere I go men, women children, the older ladies love my hair. I never thought I'd feel like a million bucks coloring my hair green for St Patty's but here I am. The smell is great. Instructions recommend 30 min but says can leave on for 1-2 hrs. The 1st application I left on for full hour, 2nd one I left on for 1.5 hrs. My hair looks amazing, smells great & super soft. I am absolutely loving it. I even picked out another shade of green (Sea witch) to change it up after St Patty's 😁 Thank you Unicorn Hair. You are now my #1 go to when I want to add a pop or whole head of color. ... show more

I am not a professional stylist but I have always done my own hair color. I tried this on a whim when the color I had originally picked was a dud. I should've bought this in the first place and I will only buy Lime Crime color from now on. Now for the product. It goes on so easily and covers so well. I could easily see it was permeating the hair as I was applying it. It smells fantastic and rises out easily. I can see that it has a potential to stain surfaces if you drip it while applying. I was able to immediately clean it and had no lasting stains on me or my stink. The color turned out fantastic, it's very even and bright and vibrant. This far exceeded my expectations. ... show more

I'm normally dark blonde. This product was very easy to use. I wanted it for a couple weeks of fun color for football playoffs. The first photo is day one. The second photo is a month later. Still very purple. The third photo is about 6 weeks later. In bright light it was still lavender. I ended up bleaching my hair platinum to get rid of it and there's still some very light lavender in the front section. So definitely get this for long term color but I wouldn't do this if you expect out to wash out in a few washes. And if you're blonde it will leave your hair very dark when it starts to wash out. ... show more

Gorgeous color, it took to my hair very well and is so bright. Application process was easy, lots of product and love the jar form it’s easy to dip brushes into. The smell is so much better than any other hair coloring product I’ve used. I’ve been dying my hair myself for a long time so don’t expect your results to be just like mine.     • Smells great, color doesn’t hold as long.
Color: Swamp Queen (Green)
This line had some colors I hadn’t seen before. I bleach and dye my best friends hair different colors every few weeks. I got him a few of these for Christmas. They smell amazing and your hair feels great after rinsing. The paste is a little thicker so I did use a little more than I have with other brands but application was very smooth. Staining on his skin was minimal. My only complaint is the colors don’t stay vibrant for long. If you wash your hair a few times a week this will be faded by two weeks out.
