    • If you can sit and move your legs, you CAN exercise with this!!
The media could not be loaded. I can’t do much for exercising because of my medical limitations. So this machine is fabulous for me because I can sit as I use it. I can use low tension and fast pedaling to raise my heart rate and get an aerobic burn, or use higher tension and regular pace to work my muscles harder. I even figured out a way to work the pedals backwards for a variety of muscle work. I feel my muscles working from my feet to my calves, the front and back of my thighs, and my glutes. I think my mid-section/core is stronger too because I try to keep my upper body still. I wrap the strap around the carry handle and secure the buckle. I adjust the length of the strap so I can reach it while sitting up straight. I grasp the strap and hold on while I pedal so the machine doesn’t slide. I’m also able to control how close or far the macine is to work various muscle areas by adjusting the strap length. I feel like it’s also strengthening my upper body that way by giving resistance. I hate sneakers and it’s perfectly comfortable with bare feet. I’m a multi tasker so being able to watch tv while I pedal away is a bonus! It’s so very quiet! Each day I try to set a goal. The monitor allows my goals to be interesting by changing from a set time to achieve, to a certain number of reps. Or I can decide to burn “x” amount of calories, or go a distance. The options are endless. This Lifepro machine is quite impressive! I look forward to using it every day because it makes me feel positive about exercise: despite my limitations, I can do it!! ... show more

    • About the tension…
Rugged supports, should last a long time of regular use. Almost no noise so far, if it starts to make a noise it’ll be from the flywheel. I have another machine like this that the wheels make noise because the plate under the wheels is uneven and too thin, don’t expect that problem with this. This is a taller unit which means you may need more room between you and the machine, which may be a dealbreaker if you have a tight space you want to use this in (like a mini desk facing a wall). Easy to assemble. Extremely difficult to inbox because they have literally taped everything together and to the styrofoam and it’s impossible to pull out in pieces or as a whole thing. You’ll probably end up cutting all the packaging and the box into pieces making it impossible to return. It’s Insane packaging something this heavy as a giant taped up ball. But I want to address the mixed reviews about the tension. When I first assembled and tried it out it felt like the tension was not changing with the knob, even when moving the pedals by hand. When I tried it for a workout I noticed there is in fact a tension change but you don’t really feel it until you’ve pedaled relatively rapidly for about a minute. This is similar to the other brand I own which specifies that the tension will increase the faster you try to pedal. This appears to work in a similar fashion. My only dislike of this unit, and it’s a problem they almost all have, is the lack of LCD backlighting. It would be nice for this price to have at least a display that would light up for 1-3 seconds if you tap the button which at most would require one more battery (maybe designate one battery for the light and one for the numbers so if I drain the light battery in the middle of a workout I can still see my numbers?). Overall this fits my needs, feels like I’m actually using my muscles even on the lowest setting so it can be exercise and not just “active sitting” or “leg fidgeting,” and seems like it will last a long time even with daily 1-2hr use. I plan to return the other brand device I purchased because it’s already making too much noise to use while I’m on phone calls and I doubt it will survive a year of use. (A note on using it without shoes… shoes should be worn because it’s better for your feet… however working from home these days means I’m usually barefoot or in socks. The grooves on the pedals are a little sharp so if you have sensitive feet or thin stockings/trouser socks you may not like the feel or snags the edges can cause. Thicker socks like athletic socks or boot socks should be comfortable if you’re not sliding around. I’m up against one of the edges so it’s not a problem. Seems like you’d have good traction with any shoes that have a tread pattern, unlike some of the competition that uses tiny slippery bumps which my sneakers just slide on like ice.) ... show more

I bought this for my husband as a father's day's gift. I was so excited to receive this and installed it immediately, it took me quite a bit time. However, I found that there is no difference between different resistance levels. After I repeatedly confirmed that the installation was correct, I found that the situation remained the same. What's worse is my husband cannot use it under his desk, which I bought this for. He's 6 ft and the desk has a normal height. Too late to order another gift, and this is being returned. P.S., it took me even longer to uninstall the paddle and fitted all the parts in the original box... ... show more

    • Easy assembly & easy to use
It took me less than 10 minutes to put it together and only because I stopped to do watch an assembly video to make sure I had done it right before tightening the last screw. I have venous deficiency after an old DVT (blood clot about 15 yrs ago - no longer have it) which affected the veins in my left leg. My legs tire easily and have to wear compression stockings. am exercising my legs as I have venous deficiency which require me to low impact exercise my legs. I don't have the space for a treadmill and need to do low impact exercises. This machine is great, I am setting aside 10 minutes twice a day to exercise my legs or until I reach 300 steps per/10min minimum which I will be increasing slowly. I liked that I can control the tightness of the steps as I move up the time and steps for each use. ... show more

Easy to assemble. The design is good because it allows you to pick it up with the handle. There is good grip on the bottom so it won't slide around. Barely makes any noise, no squeaking. The different levels makes this machine good for everyone. All in all, great design!
