I suffer from autoimmunity and keep it under good control with a clean, regimented lifestyle rather than with medication. I owned a Heavenly Heat sauna for years and ultimately sold it when I moved into a smaller place. I've missed having a sauna, especially on days when I'm feeling run down. An ad came across my feed in a social media app for a higher-priced sauna blanket. In searching online, I came across this item and purchased it based on reviews. It's remarkable. The pod is rather heavy and feels high-quality. The plastic material is soft and flexible but very thick. I am astounded at how hot this blanket gets and the sweat that my body releases. It's comparable to what I experienced with the walk-in sauna. There are 8 heat levels and a timer that allows the device to run for up to 60 minutes. I'm accustomed to being immersed in the intense heat of a sauna so I operate this thing at level 8 for a solid hour. It's wise to start low and use for brief periods and work your way up as your body's tolerance increases if you're new at this. The product registration mentioned a limited lifetime warranty if registered within 7 days of delivery. I've only had it for a couple of weeks but I find myself using it just about every day, sometimes twice in the same day. So far, I'm impressed with the quality of the materials and the experience for the price and will update my review if anything changes with time. UPDATE: Still enjoying this item and not having any issues with it at all. I did want to add that as I do not enjoy the feeling of a sweaty body wrapped in plastic, I decided to place a beach towel inside and to lay another over the top of my body before zipping in.     • Doesn’t relieve my pain

I bought this product because I needed a full body pain relief device for my fibromyalgia. I had purchased a small infrared unit that works wonders, but needed something larger. I chose this because of the great reviews. The product is very large and easy to get into. I find I need it to be on the highest settings to sweat. I use this at night, and always fall asleep, but wake up before the cycle ends. But when I do, I feel panic because it feels like I’m suffocating from the heat and weight of the blanket. My skin seems to benefit from the treatments as it is softer and my scars are lighter. But I do not feel pain relief or muscle relaxation. In my research. I have now found that near infrared is better for these benefits, and this unit is far infrared. I am keeping the item only for the skin benefits and because I bought it on sale and with a credit I had. It is not worth the $400 they are currently selling it for. I am now looking at purchasing a large near infrared unit that will hopefully do what this does not. ... show more

    • My Goldilocks sauna blanket

I had to go on a Goldilocks journey to finally find a sauna blanket I liked lol. I tried an inexpensive one first to see if I even liked using one. I did, but the blanket felt very cheap and plasticky - I could feel the wires in it. Returned. Then I tried a super high end one. The quality was night and day, but the temperature fluctuated constantly, it never got as hot as I set it for, and it was super heavy (uncomfortably so). It didn't feel worth the very high price tag, so I returned it. I almost gave up, but decided to try this one and ding ding! This one was the winner! It's great quality, well made, heavy enough to be substantial but not so heavy it feels like you're being suffocated, and the temperature seems to hold steady the entire time. I set it to level 8 and last anywhere from 35-50 minutes, doing 2-3 sessions per week. Love using it, hopefully it holds up well! Tip: You don't need to pay ridiculous amounts for a towel insert. I took two beach towels, sewed down one side, across the bottom, and about 2/3 up the other side (to make it easier to get in and out of. Voila, sauna blanket insert for about $20. ... show more

My husband bought it for me for Christmas - but he uses it just as much. Simple to use, but easier to get in and out of with 2 people. We set it up on a massage table in our master bathroom. Feels like a warm hug, put on some mediation music or sounds and relax.

Setting up was as easy as plugging into the Sauna Blanket itself and then into the wall. It has a remote control timer and various heat settings. It folds up into a very nice carry bag so I can take my sauna with me. It is so relaxing and helps to relieve muscle aches and pains, not to mention the detoxifying properties. I just got this delivered today so these are my thoughts after the first time using it. For the money, it's ok and helps get you warmed up and sweating a little. An actual sauna is significantly better if you have access to one, but this is better than nothing. I was able to get a good, light sweat out of this heated sauna blanket, but it comes nowhere near what you can get in a traditional sauna. I started off on the highest setting(9) for the longest time allowed(60 mins) and was never uncomfortable with the amount of heat. It felt a little underwhelming for me personally. The top of the blanket is entirely open so any movement tends to allow cool air under the blanket. In the future, I am going to layer towels or a blanket over the top opening try to create a a seal to trap the warm air in and keep cool air out. The head stays uncovered which allows a lot of heat to escape, and you do not breathe in hot air, so overall, your body stays much cooler than it does in a traditional sauna where the person is fully immersed. It is also January so it is cool in the garage I'm using it in so I think it will work better in the summer when it is already hot instead of having to fight the cold of the environment. ... show more
