We have been having issues with our ice maker for a while and buying ice was getting expensive and annoying. Upon reading a lot of reviews we went with product. After about a month it has been a blessing. We only run it 2 days a week and harvest the ice. Works well and fast. Also, we are a fan of the actual ice cube produced. Would definitely recommend. We purchased a cheaper ice maker prior but returned it also immediately. Definitely not what we needed. We are drinkers! This machine is in a different league than the $100 machines and worth the extra money.

Decent unit, a lot of work to use on a daily basis. I bought this so I wouldn't have to buy 2-7lb bags of ice every morning for my work cooler and figured this would work great. It does make the 2-7lb bags of ice by 5am no problem at all turning it on at 6pm the evening before. But a 5 gallon jug lasts 2-3 days tops, the storage bin isn't cooled so you gotta take the ice out every hour or so or it'll start melting. The ice bin fills up with water for some reason I'm assuming just leaks when making the ice so I have to use the scooper 2-3 times an evening to get the water out. It's a lot of work but it'll make your ice, I'm most likely gonna pay the extra money and get a nice one that has a larger storage bin that is cooled so ice doesn't melt.

Ice maker never worked once. I got a feeling that the manufacturer knows they are terrible ice makers because they didn’t even want me to return the ice maker, they just issued a return of my money. I was happy with that as I didn’t have to lug the big thing to fed ex but thought it was interesting that they didn’t even want to check their own product on why it’s not working?

It's a small Compartment for the ice, but it delivers ice every 20mins. Love the size of the unit on my counter, and I bought a water filter to keep the unit running clean.

We were VERY concerned when the installation instructions suggested only indoor use. We live on a boat and there is just not room. We contacted the manufacturer who said he could guarantee its use in very cold or very hot weather, returned our money, and told us to try it out anyway. Weather does not hinder its performance, even in extreme cold or heat. It was easy to install, takes little to maintain, and looks great on our back deck.

The one negative that you need to consider is the excess water runoff. These ice makers while producing ice also do not evaporate the water that does not freeze. I’m handling the runoff by diverting the water into a large bowl. On the positive side, it worked immediately from the start. You can choose your ice size, and there is a light that shows when the collection bin is full. Depending upon how much ice you use will determine how often you need to empty it. btw…there is no window showing how much ice is in the collection bin.

I ordered this product due to good reviews because my old ice maker crapped out just after 1 year of use. I followed the instructions, as vague as they are, but the unit didn't work at all. As long as it was plugged in, it was "on." The on/off button didn't work. It was plugged in for over 3 hours (after waiting 24 hours as instructed) and it never even attempted to make ice. Huge frustration. Returning it.
