I have a large family and many get-togethers where the need for ice in a hurry is vital. The Euhomy ice maker has been a godsend to me. Not only does it make ice quickly, but it also fits well on my counter space and is easy to use. For everyday use, one full reservoir of water will make enough ice for the family here in less than 20 minutes. The size of the ice cubes is perfect and cleaning the machine is simple. So I've only had this for a few days but so far it has been terrific. It's easy to set up and get working. I ran it through a few cycles after cleaning/wiping it out. The reservoir holds a decent amount of water and I was able to fill up an ice bin in my freezer in...maybe an hour. Maybe a little longer, didn't keep close track but it went quickly! Some reviews mentioned the ice melting quickly when put into a drink, I haven't had this problem but I think if you leave the ice in the basket in the maker you will have this issue as the ice will start to melt almost immediately. Either using it right away or moving it into a freezer quickly and this shouldn't happen. As noted in other reviews the ice is "wet" because the receptacle that holds the ice is not cooled, to prevent the ice from solidifying in my refrigerators freezer I've just been moving the ice over after one or two individual batches (as opposed to waiting for the basket to fill). It doesn't get a chance to melt much and while the pieces will freeze to each other in the freezer it's easier to break up as you go rather than after its formed into one solid chunk. The unit itself is nice looking, the display is easy to use and see. I'm keeping this on a shelf unit that is my "bar" and it looks nice with my glasses and bar stuff. It is generally very quiet but when the ice dumps over into the bucket it's a little noisy and will probably startle you at first but you'll get used to it. My only small complaint is that when the ice is dumped over into the basket it kind of stays in a heap and will trigger the Full Basket sensor so ice will stop making. If I'm trying to get a full basket I've just checked on it here and there and knocked the ice down, not a nig deal just mildly annoying. The ice scoop is nice but there isn't anywhere to keep it unless you want to take up space in the basket which I'd rather save that space for ice. So...the scoop is in a drawer and will likely be forgotten about. All in all, I really like this machine and can't wait to use it over the holidays. No more having to run out and grab ice or hoping the designated ice bringer remembers! ... show more

We have a ice cube consumption problem in my house. This ice maker works great. Very fast, has run all day every day for months. I reached out to the company about a replacement basket and heard back immediatly.

After waiting the recommended 24 hours, I plugged my new machine in and filled it with filtered, room temperature water. It's a noisy little thing, especially the water pump, but it's fast enough, with a roughly nine-minute cycle when set for larger "cubes." The "cubes" are smaller than what my previous machine produced, but that's not a problem. It is rated at the same 24-hour output as the old machine, and I can believe it, but the water reservoir is a little smaller, and the ice basket is a *lot* smaller, so I'd have to empty the basket every time it filled in order to get the rated 24-hour yield. Again, not a problem. No sign of leaks, and the ice in the basket stays cold for quite awhile due to some apparently very good insulation. Things may change a bit once warmer weather reaches us, but I'm confident. Edit: Three-plus weeks in and it continues to perform well. The water pump seems to get noisier every day, though, and the ice basket doesn't always fit properly in place, and will sometimes block the "ice full" sensor. Just have to pay attention when placing it. Edit: Six-plus months in and the machine continues to perform well. The water pump hasn't become any louder, but the ice basket has a break between two of the holes in the bottom. ... show more
