  • Great Camera and Fantastic Support!
Size: 7" Backup Camera for Truck
I bought this camera to use while operating my tractor. It worked great the wireless capability and the solar charging makes the installation of this system extremely simple. I have used the wired units on my prior tractor and it is significant job to route all of the wires and get everything working. Getting this camera to work was a walk in the park. The magnet is very strong and it is very easy to change locations to optimize operation. The resolution is good for a well priced system. After over a year of using it, I moved the camera to the tractor's backhoe to get a better view behind it. Recently, I was operating the backhoe and I inadvertently knocked it off. Didn't realize it right away and I lost it. I liked the camera, so I reached out so see if I could replace. The response was immediate and they have provided a replacement already! More than impressed! One of the concerns is always about support after the sale, this is not the case here. Highly recommend the camera and the vendor. Thanks again!!!! ... show more

  • FANTASTIC! 15 Minute Install. Works Great
Size: 7" Backup Camera for Truck
This is a great product! The price is reasonable, it is very well built, it works great, easy to install, and customer service is very responsive! I can tell you from personal experience - this camera costs than fixing the camper when you back into a tree. The camera itself is heavy. You can tell it is solidly built using good quality materials. This feels more like a quality tool than just a camera. The display is nice, and comes with the bracket and power cords. My RV is aluminum and fiberglass, so I emailed the company and the free steel mounting plate plus screws arrived very quickly. Of course I had to test the metal mounting plate and in the process I received a small blood blister on three fingers. I'm a grown man. I know about powerful magnets. And I did it anyway. I could not slide or pull the plate off. I bent one corner up just a bit while my wife slid in the handle of a plastic fork. I pried up another corner, and we did the same thing. The third corner was the charm. I no longer have ANY worries about having this camera fall off the camper. I did not like the idea of placing the metal mount directly against the body of the camper. I covered the back of it with heavy duty double sided tape. I positioned it carefully, centered on the top back side, and pressed it into place. This has the added advantage of providing both a template for the mounting screws and a guide to prevent the drill bit from skittering across the paint. Six small self tapping screws are provided and even being small they bit well into the aluminum. One observation: The holes in the mounting plate are designed for flush head hardware. Pay attention, and get the correct side facing outward. The supplied screws are not flush head and they sit just above the surface of the plate. I was concerned they would stick up just enough to prevent the magnets in the camera to fully engage the mounting plate. Examining the magnets on the back of the camera revealed this was not a concern. The face of the magnet under the rubber backing sticks out just far enough to insure a tight fit. Keep your fingers away from the edges, line the camera up, and slowly approach the bracket. It will do all the work! You can slide and rotate the camera. The antennas on the camera and display seem a little bit hard to tighten. The thread on very nicely, but bumping the antenna will cause it to loosen. I don't care if this happens to the antennas on the display, but I don't want to lose the antenna on the camera. I carefully tightened the connector with pliers, and then wrapped a piece of the double sided tape around the connector. Leave a gap at the bottom so moisture can escape. The camera has a good field of view. One of the pictures below is of the display. Right at the bottom center of the image is a traffic cone positioned right where the trailer ball is located. The ball is about 6 inches from the back of the camper. The bottom left and right of the image are the back bottom corners of the camper itself. The trailer jacks are installed. The garage door is for a one car garage. If the garage door was open, and the garage was cleaned up, the top edge of the display would show two thirds of the floor. If my 18' trailer (not including the tongue) flat bed was hooked up, I could just barely see the back end of the trailer. I could aim the camera up, which only works if the trailer is empty, or I could order a second camera and stick it on the back of the trailer. That is what I am going to do. The installation was quick and the instructions were good. Although, I did not read them until I was done - standard man procedure. It took longer to drag the ladder over and find the right sized drill bit for the pilot holes. ... show more

  • Nice unit extremely good picture quality for the price but one or two cons.
Size: 7" Backup Camera for Truck
The pros and the cons. Also check out the video. The pros are it’s very convenient having the Wi-Fi camera. I have a 2007 Pontiac torrent obviously no rearview cameras on that thing. The magnets are super strong on the back of the camera so strong that I can go through the car wash and it doesn’t knock it off. It has a nice big screen and when hooked up, there’s almost no time lag in the picture which is convenient of course when you’re backing up, that’s not as big a deal, but you can also use it while driving down the road. It really upgrades the car to being like a new car with advanced backup camera features. Plug plugs into the cigarette lighter although highly recommended with older cars you get a controller that turns off the cigarette lighter power when you turn the key off since most don’t otherwise you have to unplug it or remember to hit the switch off. The camera, the Wi-Fi connection, and the speed of which it updates is top of the line. Now the cons I almost gave this four stars because of the cons. For some reason when I initially got it, I could not get it to charge pass two bars on the external back camera component you can charge it manually, which should they recommend and then the solar panel should take over from then on. But for almost a month it stayed at two bars now it always worked, but it never failed to work, but that didn’t seem quite right, especially sometimes during the day it would be charging all day long without the car, even moving and still have two bar bars. It also has a port for an additional solar panel that you can put like on the roof of the car. OK maybe I’ll get that. Now here’s where the bad part is. I wrote the company and ask about the additional solar panel component which they don’t seem to sell on Amazon even though it has the port for it and ask them why it doesn’t go above two bars. They never even bother to answer me so tech-support is nonexistent. Now, having continued to use this all of a sudden, it started charging up to four bars on its own with just a solar panel no idea why took over a month for it to figure out how to do that by itself. But still no response from tech-support and no way to buy the additional solar panel. So I still gave it five stars because it’s really nice to have in an older car. Don’t expect any help from the manufacturer. ... show more

  • Simple install, easy to switch between vehicles
Size: 7" Backup Camera for Truck
Works surprisingly well, bought this for use as a trailer backup camera. wireless signal distance accommodates long bed truck plus 14’ enclosed trailer. Every few weeks the battery needs a 1-2 hour USB charge depending on usage but the solar power does a decent job, at the very least extending charging intervals. Pulls double duty when needed for the side by side on occasion with no issues switching the components over and reconnecting. Strong magnets on the camera. Requires sliding off the edge rather than pulling straight off so it doesn’t bend cladding it’s mounted to. ... show more

  • Handy Wireless Backup Camera for the Price
Size: 7" Backup Camera for Truck
Reception could be a bit stronger even with the extended wire letting me position the antenna closer. The monitor still cuts in and out occasionally and there's noticeable lag at times. Setup was quick with the magnetic mount and no wiring hassle. Picture quality is decent when it holds steady. For the price and convenience it's still worth having around. I hope they make a more premium quality version soon. ... show more

  • Buy it
Size: 7" Backup Camera for Truck
Bought this for my cross country U-Haul journey - worth every penny! Stop reading the reviews and just buy it now. This Made me feel safer having a backup camera for a big truck. The Magnets are strong, and held onto the U-Haul’s steel bumper without any problems across 1600 miles, even with some very rough roads. The battery lasted multiple days, because the solar panel kept it charged. The camera and screen quality are very good, even for night. And it just worked! Took it out of the box, turned it on, and it just worked! No fiddling around with the settings, it just worked as designed. Cannot recommend this enough for your U-Haul or other needs ... show more

  • So far so good
Size: 7" Backup Camera for Truck
I’ll give it a 5 for now, but only time will tell. Everything was packaged well. Both the camera and the monitor seem to be of good quality. Set up was a snap. Magnet on camera is very strong. Picture monitor is very clear. Monitor control buttons are in the front and easy to use. I like the two different power cords for the monitor, one cig lighter and one USB. So far very pleased with this unit. ... show more

  • Clean install and great clarity.
Size: 7" Backup Camera for Truck
Very happy with this purchase so far. The instructions were easy to understand and the unit charged quickly. Pairing with the screen was also very simple. The display is clear and very smooth while backing to the trailer. I was concerned about the display staying where I put it on my dashboard but have had no issues after a trip out of state. Would highly recommend at this point and will update if anything changes. ... show more
