It does function as its intended, but it does sometimes get stuck ajar. The seal only hits about 1/2 of the gaps so its allows a draft. The locking mechanism works but is not a great design. You have to twist the knob to loosen the lock then slide it into place, then twist again to tighten it. ( my little boy had the knob completely twisted off in seconds! Can you say choking hazzard!!) And lastly the design leaves an open gap in the middle of the door if your door is thicker than 1 3/8". ... show more
