At first I was hesitant about buying one of these, the asking price of $60+ was a bit steep for an RGB extension cable. However, since I had 10 of the same brand Lian-Li fans that were going into my pc I said screw it. As I was building my pc I was actually very glad I got this extension cable, because the 24 pin connector on my power supply was a royal pain in the ass to plug into my motherboard. I was attempting to do a bios flashback (which requires the CPU and 24 pin connector to work) and my 24 pin was so hard to plug and click into place that if I put any more force onto it I think I would have broken my motherboard. Thankfully, Lian Li came in clutch with their extension cable, which snapped into place with barely any real force and connected easily to my PSU's 24 pin connector. RGB lighting looks good, it's a nice aesthetic addition to really any PC, L-Connect software is pretty easy to use as well. Thanks Lian-Li. ... show more

This Lian Li RGB power cable is one of the most premium-feeling components I’ve added to my PC build. Right out of the box, the quality is obvious — the cable is soft to the touch, with a smooth, almost soft-touch plastic coating that feels great in the hand. It’s flexible, durable, and clearly well-made. The LED lighting is truly impressive. The colors are vibrant, evenly distributed, and the built-in animations add a dynamic, high-end look to my setup. That said, the brightness is intense — almost too intense at full power. I ended up dimming it down significantly, especially for nighttime use, but the ability to do that is a plus. The only downside is the software — it’s not the most stable or user-friendly. It took a bit of trial and error to get everything set the way I wanted, but once configured, it has worked consistently without needing constant attention. The media could not be loaded. I built a new gaming PC and had my eye on these for a long time. I am glad I finally pulled the trigger and got them. Lian Li did it right with these. They are very bright and have a lot of options for the light sequences. The software is light and easy to use and the installation was super easy. The controller hub included is great and can hook up other Lian Li products to it as well. The cables are more flexible than I thought they would be but do still have some rigidity to them. Spent nearly $4k on a new gen build so decided to splurge on these Strimer cables instead of more traditional, “boring” cable extensions. These things are bright and definitely over nice customization and aesthetic. If you’re on a budget, there are WAY BETTER places to spend your money like on your CPU or GPU, but if you have the extra cash to spend, this definitely can make the build feel more premium and high end. Easy to install, easy to customize in L-Connect, great addition if RGB and aesthetic is important to you. Installation is a snap. It does leave a lot of extra power cable you have to pack away in your back case area, but that's a mess anyway and adding these doesn't make it appreciably worse. I love the various animation modes and ways you can set them up. The ones that simulate little spikes of electricity traveling through the cables are the most amusing.
