The card also supports HDMI, DP Nvlink connections, and features a high-performance Torx Fan 3 for exceptional cooling and improved performance. It's built upon the Ampere Architecture, which is Nvidia's 2nd generation RTX architecture, engineered for gamers and creators with high performance in mind.

Yes, the RTX 3080 Ti Gaming X Trio 12G supports overclocking. This means you can tune the graphics card to exceed its default computing power to get improved performance while gaming. This is indicated in the product title with 'OC' which stands for OverClocking. However, overclocking should be done cautiously to avoid causing permanent damage to the device.

The MSI GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Gaming X Trio 12G uses Torx Fan 3, a proprietary fan technology from MSI that features a unique combination of two fan blades to boost the downward air pressure. This helps to keep the graphics card well cooled, ensuring stability and longevity no matter how graphically demanding your games or applications are.

🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The MSI graphics card is praised for its splendid performance and impressive overclocking capabilities. Users report amazing FPS even in high-intensive games, and also appreciate the quiet nature of the fans. Some mention about the quality issues and there's mention of some coil whine, but these don't seem to hamper the overall performance or user experience. It's worth noting that the card's size demands considerable space within the PC rig.

  • 🔄 Excellent overclocking overhead
  • 🔇 Quiet operation
  • 🌡️ The card remains cool even under load
  • 👀 Sleek aesthetics, adds to the overall look of the PC setup

Should I Buy It?

If you're an avid gamer seeking a powerful graphics card with exceptional performance and high-quality graphic rendering, the MSI graphics card is a solid choice. The cons appear to be more minor annoyances than dealbreakers, so this could be a great addition to your rig, provided you have the space to accommodate it.

  • Great performer with lots of overclocking overhead
The media could not be loaded. Update 6/22/22 After doing some research, I was able to under volt the GPU creating a custom power curve using MSI Afterburner. It is baffling that you can take a card and turn the voltage down while simultaneously turning the clock speed up! After all the tweaking was done, the card is peaking over 100fps in Forza at Extreme ++ settings and getting a 21000+ rating on 3DMark Time Spy! Also, the temps have dropped to sub 80's, usually hovering around 78 at full load for several hours. This thing is amazing! -------------------------------------------------- I am hoping to run all my games at 4k, high/extreme settings. Getting a card that could handle a full 4k important for me, but I didn't want to break the bank on a 3090. This card offers a very similar level of performance for about $1k less! Forza 5 easily handles Extreme ++ at full 4k at about 70-90 FPS with overclocking. Cyberpunk is closer to 60fps with full raytracing and high settings and DLSS, so that game is a GPU killer. Overall, this card is a great performer and is extremely quiet. By default, the fans are set to run at 0 RPM until about 55 degrees Celsius. I ended up turning off the zero-fan setting in the MSI Software as I want a cooler base temp and couldn't hear the fans when enabled at low temps. Was able to easily add 500 MHz to the memory and 100 to the GPU core with no stability problems using Afterburner, which is a great piece of software. I am getting temps between 80 and 84 depending on which core you measure. That is with my case fans kicking up to 100% to provide plenty of airflow. Your milage may vary. My two main gripes about the card aren't enough to reduce my rating as it doesn't impact anything meaningful. The LED light bar on the top of the card doesn't have a good defuser. You can see the individual LEDs. Also the MSI Software is so big and bloated and you need to install it if you want to change the LED or fan settings. Thankfully though, you don't need to load it on boot for it to maintain your settings and the services that load on boot seem light weight enough. Overall, a great piece of kit for a decent price! Now for under $1200, which is slightly less then I paid. ... show more

  • Amazing Performance and Best Value for Money in this time !
This is a Very Powerful Graphic Card... 12 GB, GDDR6, is Just a Beast! You can easily play the ultimate graphic games on ultras in 4K with 100 fps... A lot of video reviews in this way. MSI combines the look and the performance in a very good way. The card looks amazing in your system, If you want to mount it vertically it will be a plus for your machine. The 3 fans and the RGB LED accent look gorgeous!... I have no cons for the Graphic card by itself it's just a stunning Performance / Look... If you wonder if is big enough to fill up your case...well... Be prepared to have 12 1/2 inches ( 32 cm ) empty in your case... That is the card's length. Also, you need 3 x 8 Pins VGA Cables available to power this card from your power supply. Nevertheless, could be a con. MSI put in a box a slate metal plate for holding the card. To mount this plate, you need to use 3 other back slots; for one, you can't fix it with the screw anymore. I consider it a bad design, I use for that an aftermarket holding bracket... I would recommend this card to anyone who wants a big update on the performance of an Ultimate machine! ... show more

  • Great card if bought from Amazon
This listing is for the card itself and the seller will change often depending on who has one in stock. DO NOT buy it from scalpers. This card retails for $1700 MSRP. I bought it when it was Shipped from Amazon and sold by Amazon. (pay attention to the listing) I paid $1776.00 for it which was a great price considering the market. I received a brand New in the box sealed unit. Installation was easy of course and this card preforms wonderfully! It is a very hot card so make sure you have adequate cooling. The initially programming however had this thermal throttling at 90C but the fan wasn't programmed to go 100% until 93C. That's bull crap in my opinion and am guessing that is due to keep the noise down. but so stupid. So I adjusted the fan curves so it will go 100% at around 70C. Yes you can hear the fans then but it isn't that bad at all. However it helps to keep this hot card in a decent temp range. ... show more

  • It's a PRODUCT REVIEW! NOT A PRICE REVIEW!
Anyone who is in the market for getting a GPU should be well aware as to why this is at the price (time of my order was $2,200 USD) Crypto farmers ruined supply and demand. Even the MSRP was raised by the manufacturer to 1,800 USD. So go ahead and snivel at the price, but it can and WILL change. This is a consetual choice to buy it but in the end, it's called A PRODUCT REVIEW! As stated above when creating it. Now, as the product goes, it's definitely going to get you through current and future games for a while. Has no trouble running horizon zero dawn at 60 fps on 4k. But will drop during high amount of action. If you're running 1080 on a 60hz monitor, you'll have ZERO issues running games for a while. GTA online at max setting with Nvidia Game filters has zero frame drop. Even on the horrid Cayo Perico island with an obscene amount of vegetation and shadows that will bog down lesser cards such. Yes, the price sucks and we the general consumer are getting screwed. But remember, we are racing against bots that WILL have zero issue with buying them before we can grab them. And with Crypto currency farmers, it isn't going to drop soon. So in the end, it's expensive item, and you might not see it as low as it is now if you wait. ... show more
