Frame times are extremely consistent, CPU bottlenecks are minimal, and it performs exceptionally well in CPU-heavy games. Despite the performance, power efficiency and thermals are very manageable compared to traditional high-end CPUs. With a decent cooler, temperatures stay under control even during long gaming sessions. Stability has been flawless with no crashes or issues. Obviously looks great but whatever, no need to upgrade for years after getting the best gaming cpu on the entire market (upgraded from 7 7700x), price kinda high right now but incredibly worth it, temps are fantastic and I don’t have strong airflow at all (still need to upgrade case and get more case fans). Debated between 9950x3D but has more gaming latency and not as good even if it can pull slightly higher fps with higher temps. 9800x3D just king

Such an amazing gaming CPU! This is my 2nd 3dv cache cpu, the first was the 7600x3d, and they are amazing for gaming. Some games you get insane gains, even at higher than 1080p resolution. 1080p will see the most gains. Before buying the 7600x3d I had only ever bought intel. I decided to try the 3dv cache cpus to see what all the fuss was about and got a bundle from Micro Center. I am rocking the sane mobo I got with that bundle and the upgrade was drop in, reinstall the chipset drivers and I was good to go. If you've done any amount of research you will see the x3d chips have almost cornered the gaming market. Unless intel releases something drastically better, I see myself sticking with these 3dv cache cpus for a long time to come. What are you still reading for? Buy this gaming powerhouse!

I’ve built a ton of PCs over the years — Intel 14900K, 13900K, previous Ryzen 7800X3D, you name it — and the 9800X3D blows every single one of them away. This isn’t just an upgrade. It’s a complete domination in gaming performance that makes you wonder why you ever considered anything else. The 3D V-Cache magic is on another level this generation. We’re talking 96MB of L3 cache stacked on Zen 5 architecture, and it shows immediately. In every game I tested (Cyberpunk 2077, Black Myth: Wukong, Flight Simulator 2024, Alan Wake 2, CS2, etc.) I’m seeing 20–40% higher frame rates than my old 7800X3D and straight-up embarrassing the 14900K/285K in 1080p and 1440p. 4K? It still pulls ahead because the CPU simply never bottlenecks. But here’s what really sells it: efficiency. This chip sips power. I’m running it at stock with a basic air cooler and it stays under 75°C even during long sessions. Power draw is ridiculously low compared to Intel’s power-hungry monsters — my whole system pulls less wattage while delivering higher FPS.
