These are not 'Oxford formal dress shoes'. These are full brogues, properly worn in the countryside or, in modern idiom, these are 'smart casuals', not for formal occasions. They are very beautiful, amazingly comfortable and they polish to a mirror shine quite easily. They appear to be well-made. So far, I am very satisfied. Let us see what they will be like in three months! There is, of course, a limit to what one can expect for the price! My compliments to the manufacturer!

I bought these for my son for homecoming. The quality is top notch! They are true to size. He says they are comfy and the insole has a good cushion! This is our second pair (he has them in brown as well) so I would definitely recommend.

Fit as described. Look like much more expensive shoes (my last pair of slippers cost more). Leather is a bit stiff when new, but broken in are more supple and comfortable, just like all new shoes.

I bought these for my husband to wear to a wedding with a Navy Suit. He has recently bought nice black shoes, and had spent a lot on the navy suit, so he really wasn’t looking to spend a ton on new brown shoes. These fit the bill. They absolutely don’t look cheap. Not sure how long they’ll last- but he dresses up about once a year- so they’ll be fine for that type of use! He reports them to me comfortable and run large, as suggested by other reviews. He sized down 1/2 and could probably have gone down another 1/2 size. He was very glad they came in wide width. I got my 7 year old the matching version for boys, and my two gentlemen looked so good!

The shoes look great, but they are very hard to slip into. This makes me avoid them and wear a different pair, because they are hard to put on. Once you put it on, they are fine.

Not as presentable in regards to craftsmanship, but more comfortable than $100 shoes from Macy’s... Tongue didn’t stab my ankle with every step so I was able to step right up to the open bar all night… But do buy one size smaller because I had to.
