I have had this for several weeks now and wanted to wait until I had used it for a while before writing this review. I was looking for a portable vacuum cleaner that I could use to do frequent cleanups around the house to replace the broom and dustpan. Think using power tools for efficiency and more. There are so many of these models on the market. I already had experience with Levoit humidifiers and their excellent customer service, and liked what I saw with the 300 series cordless vacuum. My goals were as follows: I needed a vacuum that would not tangle with hair, as that is a major problem in this house (long human hair). This vacuum handles it in two ways. One: Most of the hair goes straight into the canister, where it is easily disposed of (more about that later). Two: The beater roller is easily removed, and it appears that some hair becomes twisted around the end of the roller which is very easy to remove after pulling the roller out, no tools needed. Hair problem solved. Quick cleanups: Many rooms in the house tend to attract crumbs on a daily. In the past I would pull out the broom and dust pan to sweep all of this up, and that would take a while. Now, I pull this off the hook on the wall, run it around the various rooms where I see the crumbs and I am done in record time. Then I empty the canister. Canister Cleaning: We had a bagless vacuum years ago and hated emptying and cleaning it. Dirt went everywhere and parts fell off. This one is so well designed and is easy enough to do over the kitchen trash can. The canister pops off, the center section is removable with a slight turn to the left, and it all wipes down using a paper towel. I clean it after each use, per the manufacturer's instructions. Battery Charging: The battery can be charged on the unit or removed. The adapter plugs into the side of the battery. There are three lights on the side that flash. All three are solid, non-flashing when done charging, and then the lights turn off indicating it is fully charged. I charge the battery on the kitchen counter and circle back when it is done, to return it to the vacuum. Power Usage: I have mostly used the vacuum on level I and the vacuum displays the level of battery remaining in percent from 100% down. For me, it usually gets to 65-71%. Sometimes I kick it up to level II or III. My daughter used it at level III for her room and it drained faster, down to about 35% by the time she was done (using the power head). I am not sure how long she ran it at level III. I have removed the power head and attached the multi-use edge tool to clean along the baseboards. This is easy to do. I have not yet tried the smaller power head or cleaning the car which I plan to do at some point. I also wanted to mention that it is very quiet, much quieter than the corded vacuum that we use. I suspect we will continue using the corded vacuum on the carpets to pull out the deep dirt. Also, this power head is about 60% of the size of our corded vacuum so it takes more passes to cover the same area. Suggestions for the Manufacturer: The wall hook needs something to attach the charging cord to for those planning to charge while it is on the hook. The vacuum stick could use a clip to carry the multi-use edge cleaning tool so it is there when it is needed. The location where the vacuum is mounted could use a floor caddy to store the edge tool, the power adapter, and the smaller power head (and possibly a set of filters). (We are using a wicker basket.) The canister has a little rubber flap that catches some dirt in the edge. A small brush tool should be included to clean the dirt out of this area so the flap will fit flush again after cleaning. Finally, the Amazon bundle tries to put 200 series filters with the 300 for some reason. That should be corrected. Product Support: Before first use, the power head snapped into the upright position. I could not find anything in the instructions how to release it or any videos on the topic so I called the support number, a few minutes before the end of your support day. A man answered and provided excellent support, telling me to just press against it as it is just a friction fit. I did not want to break anything so I was happy to have his guidance. He asked if I had any other questions or needed anything else. I forget if I asked another question, but he was super helpful. I was happy that he was there right up to the last minute. ... show more

    • Quietest Stick Vac!

I own a Border Collie and a Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix. My life is covered in dog hair, but I can't stand for my LVP flooring to be the same. It's been a years-long search for the right solution that does it all: makes dog hair cleanup easy enough to do daily, isn't too hard on my chronically-injured lower back, and is quiet enough not to have my 25lb Cattle Dog mix deem it as an enemy that must be violently vanquished. The big vacuum has been in a closet unused for years, the last time only as a deterrent device to guard a doorframe this demon girl-dog started destroying (i plugged it into a smart outlet I could control from my phone, aimed a Blink camera at the area with motion detection on, and watched the fun unfold whenever she got close to said doorframe). Trying to get away from the motorized stuff for everyday use, I first tried the broom with the short, rubbery bristles. That did collect dog hair pretty decently on the concrete floors of my apartment and now on the LVP floors of my condo, but wasn't doing my back any favors having to bend over and chase the dog fur tumbleweeds around with the dustpan. I then discovered the EyeVac machine, which still annoyed the crap out of the dog, but only turns on for a few seconds at a time, so was my go-to solution for a while. Still, I could feel in my bones that there was a better solution than using the rubbery broom. During one of my 1 million and 347 trips to Home Depot last month after moving into my condo, I picked up a microfiber dust mop. This collects the dog hair really well, but is difficult to use with the EyeVac. Then I decided it was time to lay down the law with the dogs and give a cordless stick vac another shot. Now when I say the Cattle Dog mix loses her mind with motorized floor cleaning machines, I mean it. Barking, attacking and biting at the equipment in question (Google Australian Cattle Dogs and watch a video of them working cows. You'll get it then), and turning her rage and frustration on her mild-mannered doll baby of a Border Collie sister. in the past, any kind of vacuum or stick vac has been an exercise in futility due to the amount of time I spend actually vacuuming vs the amount of time I spend breaking up dog fights every 30 seconds or so. Reviews of this one said it was super quiet, so I had hope. While the murder-dog does still see this machine as nightmare fodder, I think it's mostly just because she's in the habit of feeling that way about anything that I push back and forth across the floor (she had even started to be attack-y with the non-motorized rubber broom and microfiber dustmop). The other day I decided enough was enough. I got the stick vac out and firmly told both dogs to go lay down in the back bedroom. When they immediately disobeyed, i scared them straight by basically growl-yelling the command at them and leading them back in the room by the collars. They knew I meant business at that point. They did try and sneak meekly out once or twice, but I stood the vac up (still running) and marched them back into the bedroom where I'd told them to stay. It was refreshing to have a relatively calm stick vac session! I've now used this technique a handful of times, and am pleased to report only ONE jailbreak yesterday as I vacced my ~1000sq ft condo (they aren't locked up, I'm leaving the bedroom door open to hopefully desensitize them to the sound over time...and they do get cookies after I've "released" them). Hoping that my little hell dragon will eventually realize that this thing isn't nearly as loud as previous scary vacuum cleaners she's faced off against. I purchased this mostly for the low noise level, but will quickly weigh in on the other features: The battery life is great for my purposes. I only really use it on the low setting and on LVP flooring, and am able to go over my entire ~1000 sq ft condo about 2x before I have to recharge the battery. The dust cup is a bit on the small side, but is extremely easy to empty. This thing does the limbo really well too, as it lays very flat for getting under a lot of furniture pieces. I do wish the attachments and conversion to handheld were easier to deal with, but those aren't my main purpose for this thing anyway. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase, as it's allowing me to work through my dog's aversion and keep my floors much cleaner much more often :) ... show more

We remodeled our 2000 SF house and replaced all the cheap carpet, cheap 12" tiles and cheap vinyl bathroom floors with LVP flooring throughout. My upright vacuum was too big and bulky to get around and under all the furniture now while my old canister vacuum was still too clunky and awkward to drag around the house. Our double-coated dog sheds an unbelievable amount. I have filled the new Levoit 200 canister full of dog hair every day for the past 2.5 weeks since it arrived. Pros: While not listed in description, the vacuum head seems to work edge-to-edge. The LED lights on the vacuum head are "just right." Can vacuum our 2000 SF LVP floors on ECO mode and not run out of charge. Can vacuum light rugs on ECO mode with just enough oomph to lift the dog hair or dirt without sucking the rug into the machine. Long hair does not get caught up in the roller like most vacuums. Easily twists and turns around and under furniture without having to use some sort of lever to release to floor level. Cons: You need to turn it on to check the battery level. It would be nice to be able to press a button to see what the status is. The components are really hard to take on and off without a bit of wrestling. Totally understandable as all the parts are new and will loosen up, but it's still quite hard to take the long and short sticks off! This is a great stick vacuum for the price. It is a battery operated 180 watt stick vacuum. Therefore it is not going to have the same suction as a corded 1800-2000 watt canister or upright vacuum. Once I have owned and used the vacuum for a longer period than 2.5 weeks, I will revisit my review and hopefully upgrade it to 5 stars. ... show more
