  • Need to set amp level every time it's used
The amp setting resets to 16amps every time the J1772 is disconnected from the car, so if you want less than 16amp setting you must set it every time you use the charger. The Kwh meter resets to 0 as soon as the J1772 is disconnected. Would be better if it reset only by some way from the push button panel. ... show more

  • Versatile for its price
My OEM charger has only: single voltage, 3 LEDs, 2 AMP setting (8 & 12) and cost 20 times more! - THAT say it all! On power interruption though, it "DEFAULTs" to low AMP setting for safety. NOT the case with GODIAG!? - Used 6 months now, it worked as advertised on all voltages and AMP settings . Cable and J1772 are both very good quality. - For a 16A capable device, you should be on a 20A breaker (either 120v/240v) AND make a dedicated receptacle. - I would give overall 5 stars if not for poor documentation (basically a spec manual, and little installation requirements!) and safety issue for defaulting to HIGH current. ... show more

  • Fault light and would not charge.
Low voltage level fault error on level 1 when voltage was good: 120 volts. Would not send current for charging. Returned the charger.

  • Current switching doesn't work
Overall seems like a solidly build product, but I had to return it, for two main reasons: 1. The power switching button does not work - the charger always revert to 16A which is overloading my 120V sockets (rated at 15A). 2. The plug is much harder to use than my original one, it maybe the extra sealing, but it feels I have to jam it really hard and I am afraid it will damage my car. It may be a good level 2 charger, but it fails at level 1 charging at home. ... show more
