Snatched this on a Cyber Monday deal for two hundred something. Just plugs right in. I didn't screw it into the wall. Just have it sitting on a stone slab near the nema plug. Does the job. No issues. Used to get "stopped charging unexpectedly" with the Tesla mobile charger, but that's gone away not. And goes up to 40 amps if I need it. Almost never do that though. Current price of 399 don't know if I would have been a buyer, but Cyber Monday deal was a banger. ... show more

The Level 2 EV Charger by EVCUBNB, comes with high quality, power, looks and performance, making it a worthy consideration. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying. I. Quality – This appears to be a well-made, high quality charger. I’d put it in the high upper-middle level of the quality scale for EV chargers and guess it should hold up well over time, assuming the electronics survive. II. Performance – It has huge output potential of 50 amps, compared to most level 2 chargers that have 32 or 40 amps. This higher output can make a large difference on time spent charging over the life of the charger, not to mention if you’re in a hurry. It’s easy to use and comes with a lot of safety features. The 23ft cable is slightly on the longer side, with the average being about 20ft. This only matters if you’re potentially going to be parking far from the main unit. III. Which Plug – If you already have an outlet to use, then the choice is obvious, but what if you don’t? If you can hardwire it directly to the breaker box it’ll be the lowest cost and cuts out a potential fail point by removing the outlet from the equation. The NEMA 14-50 is the most common and will give you more access to parts and the use of other outlets away from your home or if you move. However, since it uses an extra wire, the installation cost will be more than the NEMA 6-50. How much more depends on the length between the unit and the breaker box, the longer the length the more the cost. The NEMA 6-50 is the middle cost, because it only uses 3 wires instead of the 4 used in a NEMA 14-50. Unfortunately, the availability of replacement parts, plugs and outlets outside of your house is going to be less with the NEMA 6-50. Overall, this is a very competent and capable choice in the EV charger world. It has worked great for my needs, providing fast and convenient juice, while looking quite nice on the wall, if I might say so myself. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it. You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. No joke, I snagged this slick charging station off Amazon and it's a game-changer for my electric ride. Oh, and did I mention how crazy fast this thing charges? The 50A charging speed is almost double what my old charger could do. My Tesla and Hyundai were fully charged in just a few hours. Mind blown! Now I'm never stressing about running low on juice. This charger works great. I specifically chose it for the 50 Amps, and also wanted a charger without any app. I don't need to see details, usage, anything like that. I can manage the charging schedule from my vehicle. I set it up to charge overnight when rates are lowest. It charges very quickly. The cord is thick and wraps around the holder perfectly. This charger is great. After the one ford gave me died a few times I decided to just get my own so I gave this one a try. It fully charges in about 5 hours and comes with a piece that you can insert it I to when you’re not using it. Definitely recommend
