Re-add the device after restarting.

I’ve been using this EV charger for a few weeks now, and overall, I’m very pleased with its performance and versatility. Pros: - One of the standout features is the dual voltage support, allowing you to use it as either a Level 1 or Level 2 charger. That kind of flexibility isn’t common in this price range. - It offers many current settings, which is a big plus compared to other chargers I considered. - The 9-gauge cable is thick and feels durable. - The NACS plug includes a button for opening the Tesla charge port - It also comes with a nice padded carry bag. - I was very impressed with the seller’s responsiveness and customer service. They were quick to reply and very helpful. Cons: - This NACS version lacks app support, which is a downside compared to the J1772 version. - There’s a strong rubber smell coming from the cord. - After charging for a couple of hours, the 14-50 plug gets noticeably hot, which could be a concern over time. - I wish it had an ETL or UL certification mark on the product for added peace of mind despite the seller shared certification info. - The user manual is pretty basic, and surprisingly, it doesn’t include manufacturer contact info for warranty questions. - Since it’s a relatively new product, long-term durability is still unknown. This charger offers great current adjustment and delay start features, especially for NACS equipped EV owners, and it’s backed by great customer support. There are some cons in my opinion, but it’s still a solid option for someone wanting a versatile and convenient level 1/2 EV charger without breaking the bank.

I bought it when I saw the discount at first, which was much cheaper than the average 40A charger. At that time, I was still worried that I couldn't buy a suitable 40A charger at this price, because I just bought a new electric car and urgently needed a good electric car charger. A friend recommended a very expensive 32A charger. I bought it back, but found that it was large, expensive, slow to charge, and usually needed to be charged a long time in advance. So I made up my mind to buy another one. I opened the website to search, and someone recommended this charger from DREAMDASH Store. At that time, I saw that the price was cheaper than the 32A I bought, so I was a little skeptical, but I decided to give it a try. When I received the package, I tested it. This charger is equipped with APP and WIFI control functions, which allows you to control the charging time and charging speed very conveniently when charging. It should be noted that 2.4GHz Wi-Fi must be used, not Wi-Fi with the 5G suffix 3. At first I couldn't connect, so I asked the store customer service, and he quickly taught me how to connect it. Many people will ignore this, resulting in Wi-Fi connection failure. When it is adjusted to 40A, the charging speed is much faster than the previous 32A. I realized that I made the right bet this time, it did not let me down, and everything was worth it. However, after using it for a while, if it doesn't work well, I will come back to modify the review. I hope it can be used for a long time!

I love that it has the ability to add a charging schedule. When you as the app with your phone, the charger picks up the time of day and allows you to set a schedule so you can t charge during peak times

The documents provided with the device refer to a wifi connection with no direction for connection details. The document also declares a bluetooth capability, but no reset button that I can find. Further more a google search for: "DreamDash Portable EV Charger", or "DreamDash Portable EV Charger Users Manual", yields a NO MATCH. Couldn't find a website for the device, and therefore could not evaluate said features.

Product: DreamDash Portable EV Charger 1st impressions: Well boxed unit comes in padded zippered case for storage. Cable appears heavy duty, plugs are sturdy. Documentation: This could use some improvement - two 4x5" pamphlets, a single fold one for App Control and a 6-page booklet for the User Manual. Biggest problem here, besides the tiny print, was no real clear instruction on what app to install so it could be controlled. Finally found the very small QR code that will direct you to Tuya's SmartLife app. I actually already had it on my phone. I'd recommend in general to load any app from Play Store/Apple Store instead of using the direct link. Once the charger was plugged in and bluetooth enabled on my phone, I was able to find the EV Charger and link it. Next step was to connect it to my home wifi network. I used my 'guest' network which I also have all my home automation devices on. The wifi needs to be a 2.4G network. Once it was setup, I found it was easy to control the ev charger, selecting charging mode, current level and schedule options. I found the ability to change the charge current level in 1 amp increments a nice plus! App also reads out the real-time Input voltage, charging current and kW level. The app also shows a record of each charging session, date/time and kWh transferred. Cons: Besides the difficult to understand documentation, I also found the length of cord between the 50A plug and the control box a little short if the receptacle is close to the ground. During the 1st charging session, I checked the temperature rise of the plugs, cables and control box - nothing was more than 2-3 degrees above ambient temps. My EV has a max charge rate of 16A, so results may be different with 32 or 40A charging. My charger will live outdoors, we'll see how it does in the sun and rain!
