I assembled this in a slow, easygoing manner, and it took about 45 minutes and was not frustrating. You might be faster. This is a stationary bike for normal use. It isn't going to tolerate or accommodate extreme behavior. For example, the pedals are plastic. They are strong, but if I stood up on them and pedaled like mad, they (or at least the straps) would give out eventually. I am large, but I don't recommend standing on the pedals. And if you constantly readjust the straps, like for multiple users in a household, I'm sure the plastic fasteners will eventually wear out. The seat is not like a bicycle saddle, which is good for casual users. It is slightly uncomfortable on the back of my thighs, but only a little. I am 6'2" and 300 lbs, and feels perfectly stable and firm. No creaking, groaning, or shifting. Pretty good for a device that only weighs about 40 lbs. At first I didn't think the magnetic tension was high enough, but as I pedaled more, I kept adjusting the resistance downward, because I want a longer cardio workout, not massive quadriceps. If you want resistance like the slopes in San Francisco, where you would be standing on the pedals, this machine won't do it for you. But there's plenty of tension for normal folks who want a 15+ minute workout. The distance from seat to pedals, at maximum height, is not quite long enough for me. On a bicycle, one's legs should extend fully when the pedal is at it's lowest, or that's what I've always been told. Mine don't. If the user was 5'8" (down to about 5'2"?), I expect their legs would extend fully. I don't really mind, I just want an afford, space-efficient workout, and that's what I've got. The instructions are in slightly amusing, badly translated English, but they are correct. Be aware that the bolt and nut for one pedal are reverse-threaded and the opposite ones aren't. Beyond that, no real problems in assembly. All tools are included, and the bolts and washers are separated, so I just snipped them off the ones I needed with scissors, at each step. They are all clearly identified. There are no spare bolts or washers, so cover your floor vents. The secondary handlebars on either side of the seat I have no use for. I didn't install them, which makes the machine even narrower when folded, so I like that. The seatback falls foward easily onto the seat when nobody is sitting, saving a little vertical space when folded (though the front handlebars are taller anyway). The display runs on two AAA's (included), but you don't need the display for the bike to work. It will hold a phone where the display is, so you can time yourself with a phone and forget the display, if you prefer. Or use the phone to check stock prices while you ride. I really prefer focusing on the exercise itself. The machine is perfectly silent. You could use it while someone was sleeping in the room, if your clothes are similarly quiet. Overall I am very pleased for the price. Wish it was taller, but then it would have to be wider and heavier as well. ... show more

I've bought it on Amazon Warehouse deals and the price was in my budget. Relatively easy to assemble, strong, very quiet and everything works well. I use an Amazon Fire tablet that I don't use anymore and play bicycle exercises for coaching, fun and weight loss. Now it's a cool bicycle. The seat is a little uncomfortable if you stay for a long time. I've heard that about other expensive bicycles and that you can buy separately a different seat. While I think about it I just put a soft pillow and get myself ready for some action. I'm very pleased with this purchase and I recommend it. ... show more

Was looking for this particular style and came across this bike with a Lightening Deal of 129.00. 😀. It had to have a space for my tablet to watch shows while peddling away. A lot of these style bikes do not have a place for your tablet and I will be using my bike outside all summer long. Also the back rest is a must for me. Another added plus is it is lightweight and has back wheels to move around which is perfect for taking outdoors Upon delivery from the post office the box was slit open all the way down box from one end to the other exposing parts. I was a bit concerned but everything was in plastic and styrofoam. My husband put it together effortlessly under an hour. Instructions are included. Their is a small dent on the bottom base of the stand. No big deal I guess. You can easily adjust seat height, lean seat back or sit upright while cycling. The heart rate calorie timer works great. I have tried it out and so far so good! They have the same style on QVC for 218.00 just different brand without the tablet stand. So you are getting a great value even with its current price. I am so glad I saw this on Amazon. Would like to know where I can find a memory foam padded seat cushion cover as you can’t find them for this wider seat which I so appreciate, The bike is quite with a little noise from base but it could be my hardwood floors, I plan to get a mat for outdoors. You can also buy an exercise bike cover for outdoors here on Amazon I also purchased some yoga beach shoes with rubber soles (right here on Amazon) you just slip on for cycling so you don’t have to put on your tennis shoes. Works wonderfully too! FYI: Here is some motivation for you. If you cycle for an hour with moderate intensity it is the same as walking 10,000 steps. I read this in an article dedicated to cycling. I am using this to get my strength back after going through breast cancer and multiple surgeries which took a huge toll on my body. Also became a raw Vegan. Anyway, will update in a month, but this bike seems like a winner for me. I took off a star for the small dent. Do not hesitate in purchasing this bike! This bike was packaged well and I love the way all the tools needed were supplied and packaged and labeled well. The bike was fairly easy to assemble according to the instructions. It folds so it takes up little space and I can use it in any room. I’m a senior so it works well for me as a stationery bike. I use it in the upright position and can can adjust the tension. The display gives me speed, distance, miles, etc. I love the fact that it’s quiet! It has the ability to be used as a recumbent bike, although for me it’s more comfortable in the upright position.
